And while it pays off in the end, there are definitely moments of defeat. No parent has ever come out of the whole child-rearing thing unscathed.
But in the end, sometimes all you can do is laugh about it. Especially if you’re one of these 50 people:
1) Face-first
Have you ever stepped on a Lego? What do you think it would be like to fall face-first on them?
These are questions only toddlers can answer.
2) Bubble bath blitz
Sometimes the only way to learn a lesson is the hard way.
3) Hang in there, baby
One of them is going to be forgotten and fall to its doom.
We hope it was a really nice laptop.
4) Level: expert
She’s already an expert multi-tasker. And unlike most of the rest of us, she’s pulling it off with great calm!
5) Baby burrito
Someday, when she looks back on this photo, it’ll be a good time to ask for a raise in her allowance.
6) An appreciation for the arts
Oh, who are we to talk? We’re the same way.
And now we know what Van Gogh would look like as a dog!
7) Water is water
And while some people like to claim that the toilet tank water is technically clean, the bowl is not.
8) Self-care
This sweet girl thought that her diaper cream was a great face mask, hair mask, hand mask, and just about everything else mask
She even looks pretty proud.
9) Gamer cradle
Of course, you can take part in both, as long as you are safe about it.
Before long, they will be playing together.
10) Just hanging around
Priorities, people.

He didn’t cry – he improvised, adapted, and overcame. He figured it out.
He’s really taking advantage of that five-second rule!

Thankfully, the only ones who freaked out were the older kids.
This baby could sleep through anything.
14) We think we know who did it
You can make a mess on the floor, but when you get to the walls, parents tend to get upset – and with good reason.
15) Bunch of clowns
Well, when she gave them back – and it turns out they are still not old enough.
16) Whiteout
This kid was left alone for “two seconds” and this is what she did with her time.
I mean, the paint could have been left in a better spot though.
17) You can’t take them anywhere
It’s time to leave now.
18) Hey, it happens
What really gets you is when the kid “forgets” to wear two socks on his own and is okay with that.
19) I didn’t do it
He didn’t think his parents would find him and he was shocked when they did.
Let’s face it, this kid knows how to live it up!
20) Slip up
But not as hard as their kid experienced it.
21) Getting the most out of your day
Frankly, she looks satisfied. And so does dad – but for a different reason.
22) Tan tot
This is one of those times that you hope you don’t have a doctor’s appointment soon.

He knows what he did and he still thinks it’s funny even after he was caught.
Is that a good sign or a bad sign?
24) Pure exhaustion
They say “sleep when the baby sleeps,” but what if the baby only sleeps during a long walk in the park?
25) Who needs pants?
This dad was meeting his wife at school for a parent-teacher meeting and didn’t notice that his daughter took her skirt off at home.
Now she’s in tights and undies.

26) The face of A future villain
This is what happens when you have bath toys that involve any kind of paint. They never stay inside the bath.

He knows he wasn’t supposed to get the flour and play in it, but if you’d just listen you’d agree with him.

Yet, the kid still sleeps.

You know, as kids do.
Nothing strange to see here.

She’s armed and dangerous and isn’t afraid to get dirty.
Look at how fierce she is in her tutu!
She’s already a force to be reckoned with, pretty soon, she will be unstoppable.

You get barfed on.
And sometimes you get barfed on right on your head during a family photo session.

She loves playing hide-and-seek with the big kids and always has the best hiding places.
If you can’t see them, they can’t see you – that’s the rule of the game.

And that’s ok.
You really do need to be older to accept that cats don’t really like anyone.

Would mom have done this?
We’ll never know, but at least there’s a safe place to land.
42) Elves? Elvis? Same thing.
So he told his mom he needed an Elvis costume.
And it was epic.

But still, the picture makes us nervous for all kids involved.

She was playing with chalk and she drew a pillow so she could lay down and go to sleep.

He dressed it up and made it fancy.
He even flipped the glass upside down!

Mom was away and dad was in charge of bath time.
We think he needs more practice.
