Parents would do anything for their children. Their main concern is that their kids are safe and happy. But, also, they want to be safe and healthy too in order to be there for their children, loving and protecting them.
But, as much as they want to always be there for their children, some parents don’t make it and they sadly pass away too early.
Just like Jayda’s father, who died earlier this year, leaving four adorable children behind, the youngest being only 7 years old.

And, although the weeks following her father’s loss were difficult for 20-year-old Jayda and her siblings, there was an event organized by her youngest brother that lifted her spirits and made her feel better in this difficult time.
Little Nicco had an idea. He and his siblings would gather in the living room to have a chat with their dad who is now in heaven. His sister and two brothers couldn’t say no to him, so they all followed their little leader.
As we can see in a video that Jayda posted on TikTok, Nicco, his brothers, and his sister all sit in the couch and look up, as advised by the 7-year-old boy.
Nicco goes first, addressing his dad and asking questions.
“Hey dad, how is heaven? Is it good or is it bad? Please don’t tell me it’s bad,” he says. “I hope you’re best friends with God. Please protect us. We love you Dad. You’d do anything for a homeless person, and you would do anything for us,” he adds.
Then he points at his siblings one by one, telling them it’s their turn.
Each one of them sends out a thought for their late father, and it is obvious that these kids needed this kind of session to help them express their grief and hope that their father is now in a better place.
“You were the best person to everyone,” Jayda says, and her brothers add that they hope he rides motorcycles in the skies or that he’s enjoying his time with people he loves in heaven.
When this first part is over, Nicco leads the team to the dining table, from where each of them grabs a stuffed animal and plays with it pretending to be their dad.
All these activities that the boy has planned are meant to make all of them feel connected to their dad, and give them the chance to connect to him in a different way.
It’s supposed to heal their wounds, ease the pain they feel, and reassure them that their dad is somewhere out there looking at them and listening to them. In a way, they feel that whenever they need him they can talk to him and he’ll be there for them.
