Siblings caught holding hands and praying before their first day of school
It doesn't get sweeter than this, folks. <3

Young children tend to have a wonky reputation. Usually, they are hyper, hard to manage, and bouncing all over the place. You would think that their main priorities are playing games and eating candy — and sometimes they are — but at other times, they can surprise you.

This mother was stunned last year when she stumbled upon her three beautiful children — Eugene, Jorden, and Emily — praying.

The group of siblings were gearing up for their first day of school. And on top of feeling nervous for that, they had also been going through a hard time in general as a family. It definitely was not an easy time but what made it a little bit better was seeing how well they were handling it.

The children’s mother, Jamisha Harris, captured the moment and shared it on her Facebook page, where it instantly went viral with hundreds of likes. She wasn’t the only one who was stunned by her children’s kind hearts.

“Dear God,” Harris began to write.

“This morning I’m feeling nervous and a little unsure but thankful, I pray for my children on their first day of school. God, I give them to You. And I ask that this school year you would use every person and every experience and every lesson to shape them into Your image, to grow in them, the fruit of Your Spirit. Have a great year kiddos 2019-2020 Idea Bridge Academy.”

The moment is so precious that you don’t necessarily have to be religious to love it. If you are religious, great, but if not, that’s okay too.

Because what we see here are three desperate, scared children who have been through a tough time. However, even though they were facing challenges, they decided to power through and come together to make each other feel better.

What’s more hopeful than coming together with your family and praying? All of that internal energy is definitely being put to good use.

The post has been shared hundreds of times too, and that’s because most people agree that this moment really is so sweet. Like we said before, children are usually known for being hyper and rowdy. These children chose not to cry though and instead, have a deep moment of hope and silence together.

If this isn’t beautiful, we don’t know what is.

These children, from Louisiana, are a perfect example of peace. They prove that instead of fighting and being divisive, we should be coming together. No matter what hard times we are going through, we should always have one another to lean on.

Even if that just means taking a moment before diving into whatever it is that’s scaring you. Even just a breath. They took the time to pray right before a long school day ahead. If they can do it, so can we!

These children should be their hyper selves, playing games and doing homework, but unfortunately, they have a little bit more on their plate. The good news is that they know how to handle it.

We have so much respect for these three!
