After a long period of being away from home, a soldier decided to surprise his mother at work after returning to the United States. The mother assuming that her son was returning a month later, was caught completely off guard when the encounter took place. Watch the mother’s reaction as she realizes that the random soldier in uniform reading a newspaper article, is, in fact, her son.
The video recorded by the father in July captures the beautiful moment when all of this took place. Getting the help from the mother’s co-workers, the father and the son knew exactly where to set up and wait.
In the image below, we can see the soldier pretending to read a newspaper as he waits, knowing that his mother (In the yellow vest) will pass by any second now.
As the mother is walking past the stranger in the military outfit, she curiously turns her head to look. The soldier being in his uniform probably made her think of her son who is also in the military. It wasn’t before long before the mother realized that the stranger was no stranger.
Realizing that the person in front of her looks exactly her son, she yelled out, “Nock?” and begins to scream in happiness once she confirmed that it is her son. The mother then immediately jumps on him, embracing him tightly and repeatedly asking, “What are you doing here?”
In the image below, you can see the mother’s heartwarming reaction as she holds her son. The mother and son embraced for a good while as passerby’s who witnessed the event smile in delight of the scene.
After moments of being reunited, the mother then sees her husband in the sidelines, points and says to him, “I thought you went golfing.” The father then chuckles in the background as he knew that they just caught her completely off guard.
Viewing the youtube comments, the soldier commented saying, “Probably my best gift to her yet.” It was a beautiful moment we just saw as the mother’s reaction unravels once she realizes that the stranger was her son. If you want to see the full video, you can find it below.
