It was just another day for Phoenix and his dad, but this day was a tad different.
Phoenix’s dad was preparing for a job interview, and the potential employers had requested a video introduction.
They wanted to know about his daily routine and, for some reason, they wanted one of his children to be present in the video.
So, Phoenix was roped in, and what followed was a series of hilarious exaggerations and innocent corrections.
The father began by painting a picture of his early morning routine.
According to him, he wakes up at the ungodly hour of three in the morning, takes a 20-minute bath, and then embarks on a three-mile run.
But that’s not all. After the run, he supposedly cycles for two hours as well, all before the children wake up.
Phoenix, with a puzzled expression, listened intently.
As the narrative continued, Phoenix’s dad described a lavish breakfast spread he prepares for his children every morning.
Waffles, pancakes, beans on toast, and sausages – all before school.
And the school run? Well, apparently, they travel half the distance on a motorbike with a sidecar and then jog the rest of the way.
Phoenix, unable to hold back, interjected, “We do not!”
The father’s tales grew taller.
He claimed they sold their car last year, which Phoenix promptly denied.
The dad, dressed smartly in a suit for the video, stated that he dresses this way every day.
Phoenix, with a smirk, pointed out that his dad hadn’t worn a tie in about three years.
The household, according to the father, was devoid of television for years, and he hadn’t consumed meat in over a decade.
Phoenix, pointing directly at the TV in front of them, corrected him again.
The dad’s eco-friendly claims didn’t stop there.
He mentioned installing hammocks in the children’s rooms for a “more sustainable sleeping arrangement.”
One of the most amusing moments was when the father brought up the topic of Phoenix’s Nintendo Switch.
According to him, Phoenix was so committed to sustainability that he destroyed his Nintendo Switch.
He even showed off a wooden replica, claiming Phoenix made it from garden wood.
Phoenix, clearly amused, questioned the authenticity of the wooden switch.
As the video progressed, Phoenix’s dad’s claims became increasingly outlandish.
From running eight miles every morning to single-handedly carrying all his children to bed after their “orange-based diet” dinner.
Phoenix, with a mix of amusement and exasperation, continued to correct his dad’s tall tales.
Wrapping up the video, the father thanked Phoenix for his “support” and for confirming all the “truths” he shared.
Phoenix, with a cheeky grin, retorted, “Well done for lying.”
The video ended with the father jokingly saying he had a conference call with Hong Kong and Phoenix humorously pointing out his dad’s inability to run three miles.
The playful banter between Phoenix and his dad was a delightful watch. It’s a glimpse at the bond they share, filled with humor, love, and a touch of mischief.
While the father’s exaggerated tales were entertaining, it was Phoenix’s candid corrections that stole the show.
