We as adults have had a difficult time adjusting to our new daily lives since the coronavirus, so it’s hard to imagine what it would be like through kids’ eyes. After all, with schools closed and no more social activities – our kids have had to deal with a lot of disappointment lately.

But that’s why it’s important we get creative! Tons of parents are trying to make the best out of things and bring fun into the household for their families. Just like one State Trooper dad from Nebraska, who’s winning over the internet for a dance routine he did with his six-year-old daughter.

Lt. Tyler Kroenke was faced with a “challenge” recently that had him swooping in to save the day. He even wore a cape while doing it too.

As we know, there hasn’t been any kind of sporting events going on lately, including for little ones who’ve had their sports classes canceled until further notice. Kroenke’s daughter, Miela, was understandably upset that her dance school had to close their doors for the rest of the season. It didn’t mean there’d be no more dancing though!

Wahoo Dance Academy decided to present their students with a fun challenge. They asked the kids to teach one of their parents some of their dance to keep them practicing.

Being a good “trooper,” Lt. Kroenke happily stepped in to help Miela with the challenge. According to T&T Creative Media, he spent approximately 60 minutes a day for a week learning the routine from his daughter before their special performance.

Not all heroes wear capes…but sometimes they do!

Lt. Kroenke and Miela’s dance takes place in their Nebraska home, and adorably, both are dressed as superheroes. The State Trooper dad has on his work uniform, but it’s complemented by a cape and a mask. Miela has pigtails and is dressed as Wonder Woman.

So, can this dad dance? Oh yes, he can.

Playing in the background is Bonnie Tyler’s “Holding Out For A Hero” and their dance goes perfectly with the song. The duo stays coordinated as they perform the moves Miela taught him. The best part is it looks like lots of fun!

It’s a sweet performance that’s going viral and brightening people’s days.

During the pair’s dance, there are leg kicks, spins, and hip shakes. They pose like superheroes, roll on the ground, and hold their balance with one leg in the air. It’s easy to see that Miela’s an excellent dancer and apparently, a great teacher as well.

Even though the changes have been difficult for both adults and kids – it’s good to see families enjoying new activities together! Seriously, how awesome is this?
