If you have a big family, eating out is considered a treat for everyone.
That’s how Kayla Miller, Brittney Ward, and Haylee Robuck felt when they decided to dine out along with their foster kids.
The twist? The three families brought more than 20 kids with them when they went out for dinner.
These three beautiful ladies have been foster parents for over a year now.
Deciding to foster, especially during the pandemic, is a great act of kindness.
Not just that, together, the three families have a total of 25 kids in their homes, and that night, they brought 21 of the kids, where three of them were just infants.
Can you imagine taking care of many kids?
People who have already fostered know how hard it can be. Each kid has a different personality, each one yearning for love and care. It’s up to the foster parents to open their hearts and be the guardian of these kids.
Adrian Maddox was working his weekend shift at Toots West. He was seated near the area where the large families were.
“The oldest kid was like 11-years-old. So, in your mind, you think I have this mess to clean up,” Maddox told WSMV. “But it wasn’t like that.”
The three were sharing their stories and being happy about their foster kids. It’s not every day that they get to eat out.
Little did they know that a stranger at that bar overheard their beautiful story.
“She was just so overwhelmed and really moved that somebody actually stood up to take care of someone else’s responsibilities,” Maddox said.
Touched by their kindness, the stranger talked to the management, and before leaving, she picked up the tab and took care of their entire bill.
It was her way of appreciating what the three families did for all the kids.
The three women were in disbelief after they asked for their bill.
“It’s not often that that happens. Let alone when you have a party so big and so obnoxious, ” Robuck recalled. “We took up three tables, and two of the three tables have kids on kids all over it.”
Imagine what they felt when they found out that someone paid their bills.
According to the management, the generous woman wanted to remain anonymous.
Miller, Ward, and Robuck felt touched by the kind gesture of the woman who paid for their bill.
“They assumed that we were doing good, and they paid that forward. So, I am sure at one point we will do that to another family,” Miller said in her interview.
As for their waiter, Maddox was still shocked by the beautiful experience.
“You know…a person taking the time out to do it out of the goodness of their heart… That’s amazing,” Maddox said smiling.
For all those who foster, thank you for being so kind. These kids need someone who will make them feel at home, and you’re greatly appreciated.
As for the kind woman, we hope that she continues to bless other people.
It’s so nice to be able to stories like this. It inspires, fills our hearts with joy, and just makes everything beautiful.
