“Severe Congenital Neutropenia is a condition that causes affected individuals to be prone to recurrent infections. People with this condition have a shortage (deficiency) of neutrophils, a type of white blood cell that plays a role in inflammation and in fighting infection.”

This is according to the US National Library of Medicine. What this condition wasn’t counting on was just how tough and resilient this three year old is. Joke’s on you!

Leah has faith that can move mountains. Hers is the kind to be reckoned with.

The force is strong with her after all!

How old are you again?

She’s only three but her response was filled with such wisdom that even the best of them would drop their jaws in wonder.

It starts off with mom asking Leah some typical questions, to which Leah responds with the candor and innocence as is expected of a child her age. Mom asks her what she’s scared of and she answers, “Tigers”. Typical funny kid as that was Leah’s answer to what her favorite animal is.

How about her favorite place to go to? Well, just like mom, she says, “Target”.

Some of the questions bring to light the struggles this little lady is going through. Leah was asked what made her feel sad,

“Because I can’t go to her house. And I can’t go to grandma and grandpa’s house.”

Now as tough and heartbreaking as those questions and answers were, Leah surprises her mom and her viewers with the best one.

“What does love mean?”

Leah pauses, smiles, and with so much assurance says,

“God.”

One word. And yet it carried so much weight that Leah’s mom just couldn’t contain herself and released all her pent up emotions. Mom knew at that moment that everything was going to be alright.

She’s tough for one so small. An adorable reminder that no matter how tough the situation is, there’s always a way through. And for Leah, it was her faith. Huge faith in such a small body that even her mom was struck with awe at her daughter’s response.

So let Leah be a reminder that no one is ever forsaken. That in the hardest of times, one will always have the strength to make it. Leah chose to look up.
