Just when you think you might actually have been blessed with an angel child, they do something so hilariously cheeky that you simply can’t be mad at them.
Toddlers are the worst for their antics, behaving almost as if they have a secret manual that tells them exactly what they need to do to stress out their parents.
Nobody knows this more than toddler mom LaTasha McClendon-Dove.
She shared a hilarious video on her Facebook account that documented the moment she’d caught her son drawing on himself – and getting drawn on by his two cousins – with green permanent marker.
She captioned the post:
“OH. MY. GOSH. YA’LL. No one warned me how mischievous toddlers are.”
Continuing, LaTasha wrote that she’d felt concerned by how quiet her kids were being – but she’d been certain from their giggling that “they were just happily playing with toys while I cleaned Finn’s room from the triple toddler tornado that had just came through.”
But this was far from the case, as LaTasha was quick to point out, writing:
“I. WAS. WRONG.”
In the video, LaTasha, who lives in Fort Payne, Albama, questions her son, Finn, who stands half-naked with marker scribbles all over his body, and his toddler cousins.
It appears that LaTasha pressed record the moment she discovered the scene, judging by the boys’ guilty faces.
The video, which has also been shared by Finn’s dad Chris on YouTube, is too cute to take seriously.
Finn, in his underwear, insists that he and his cousins just wanted to be “bad guys”, like the Incredible Hulk.
To a toddler, it makes total sense – color yourself in green and you’ll look as legitimate as the Hulk himself.
After explaining the reason for turning his body into a canvas, Finn pouts his lower lip and adds,
“And we’re sorry. Are you mad at us?”
LaTasha calmly responds that she’s “pretty upset”, and Finn, getting closer to tears, asks:
“Is daddy gonna be mad too?”
As his mom gives him a strict talking-to about his playtime antics, it’s clear Finn knows he’s in trouble.
He tearfully suggests that he should take a bath while thinking about what he’s done – the latter being something he’s probably heard mom say multiple times after he’s done something wrong.
There’s no way that you could be mad at him, covered in green scribble, with his guilty cousins flanking him either side.
And LaTasha was quick to assure her friends and family that she wasn’t really angry.
She wrote:
“I sound like I was going to snap but I swear I was only stifling giggles. Never a dull moment with these babies and I love it!”
Unsurprisingly, it didn’t take long for the video to get shared around beyond the people who knew LaTasha, and it ended up going viral.
With 27k shares, 3k reactions and hundreds of comments, LaTasha’s adorable son has hit internet fame.
In another shorter video, Finn revealed that he’d also managed to draw on his own back – now that’s impressive!
Commenters couldn’t get enough of the video, with one person calling the boys “the three little Christmas elves” and another admitting that they’d watched the video “at least 20 times”.
