Our lives have definitely changed over the span of a few months. Since the virus COVID-19 entered our lives back in January, our daily routines have certainly taken a toll. Everything that we had considered normal might as well be “prohibited” now.

Quarantine is still in place in many countries and while the rest of the world is taking some small hesitating steps back to what we had once considered our reality, a second wave of the virus is threatening to destroy this slight illusion of daily life. Amidst all these, we find the most vulnerable members of our society, the children, and seniors.

The parents had to face quite the challenges over the last nine months, when many of them found themselves in quarantine with their kids 24/7, confined in their homes for more than three months. They had to play the part of the parent, the educator, and even the entertainer because as all the adults know, kids can be easily bored, so they require quite the stimuli to keep them engaged and entertained.

And this is what these two brilliant parents, Ben and Ellie Moore, from the U.K, decided to do when the birthday party of their son, Milo, had to be canceled due to the pandemic and the social distancing.

And it is so understandable as undoubtedly many parents had to face similar challenges in order to keep their kids happy. The plan was definitely a success as the birthday boy confessed, “I found it absolutely hilarious and so did my sister”.

In the video we can see the dad in the role of the waiter offering Milo a taste of “March 2020 vintage” milk, he actually puts the whole “show”, performing like a professional waiter would do, but Milo also plays along, as he swirls the milk around, in his wine glass, before taking a thoughtful sip.

As Ben Moore explains, “It was really fun for all of us”, as they had the opportunity to get all well-dressed and ready and enjoy a night “in”! Nancy said that the best part of their night was the dessert, as they enjoyed Nancy eating ice cream “with loads of chocolate”.
