Nothing melts a mom or dad’s heart like a baby’s first words. Those first time utterances are always recorded and with the age of social media, often shared online for the world to see and hear. Keep those ears open.
Babies usually start speaking anywhere from ten months to a little over a year old. Milestones and development vary for each child but do expect the little one to attempt one to three words by that age.
But what about two month old babies?
Scarlett is two and a half months old in this video but it seems liked she already knew how to respond to her daddy’s affections. Listen closely and judge for yourself. This baby girl said it clearly!
Dad did an awesome job here speaking to Scarlett normally. Most people talk to babies with coos and gibberish because they can’t help themselves seeing such a tiny human that just oozes cuteness.
Experts do say that when speaking to babies and toddlers, talk to them like you would a friend or family member. Minus the temper and cuss words naturally. That helps a child develop his language skills.
Dad here does what is expected of a new father. He tells his adorable daughter that he loves her over and over. He’s making sure Scarlett knows it and her brain is like a sponge, absorbing so many sensations daily.
So he presses on, telling her he loves her up until the ten week old responds with what sounds like an, “I love you.”
That got her a kiss from dad and a shocked expression from mom who is behind the camera. And look at Scarlett, both those pretty eyes fixed on her daddy who himself cannot remove his gaze from her.
To prove to the world that she really did say it, dad repeats an “I love you“. After all, this video was meant to be posted for all to see. And wouldn’t you know it? Scarlett answered back again! Play it back and listen!
At this point, dad cannot help himself. He is just trying to hold back his giggles as his delight clearly shows. And what dad wouldn’t be this happy?
Scarlett surely loves her daddy too!
Her squirming and cooing with eyes trained on her father are just this baby’s way of saying she adores her dad. And you know what they say about dads and daughters. That’s basically a king and his princess.
“Can you say it one more time? I only heard it one time on the camera.”
Says mommy.
Parents taking care of a baby are often tired but moments like these are more than enough to lift the weariness. Look at the way dad kisses his Scarlett. That in itself makes it all worth it! That’s got to be the best “I love you” ever recorded.
