What happens when you put a young boy in charge of the remote? He lets his baby sister watch The Avengers.
Dad (and Irish comedian) Paddy Raff isn’t sure just which film it was – either 2012’s “The Avengers” or 2015’s “Avengers: Age of Ultron” – but his 2-year-old daughter Clara’s reaction to watching it with her big brother was too funny not to share.
Her favorite character? Dr. Bruce Banner, aka the Hulk.
In fact, since posting the short video to Twitter on October 9, 2019, Raff’s Tweet of Clara’s reaction has already been liked over 418,000 times and viewed over 9.2 MILLION times!
Clara isn’t technically old enough to watch the superhero movies, but she’s always interested in playing with her brother’s Avengers figurines when he’s away at school.
Here she is feeding them breakfast:
But the real fun came in watching Clara see the transformation of Dr. Bruce Banner into his big, green alter ego. The little girl couldn’t believe her eyes.
As she sits on the couch enjoying a bowl of chips, the mild-mannered Dr. Banner is clearly starting to lose it on the screen. And Clara doesn’t like him when he’s angry.
The little girl warns him not to do it, shouting “no, NO” as he begins to morph into the not-so-jolly green giant and begin his famous smashing.
Clara’s a bit disturbed at what happens when he lets his dark side take over.
And whether her reaction is to the fact that Bruce Banner and the Hulk are the same person or simply the CGI involved in the transformation, Clara is shook by what she sees.
She looks around to make sure everyone else was witness to the amazing moment.
And they were – they just happened to find Clara more amusing as she sits next to Spiderman in awe.
The video (which you can view below) was so popular that it even drew the attention of the actor who plays the characters in the modern Avengers franchise, Mark Ruffalo. He retweeted Clara’s hilarious reaction on his own account two days later.
Not surprisingly, commenters went wild for the post.
One sympathized with the toddler’s reaction:
“Thank you for sharing that. That has to be one of the most adorable and awesome reactions to Hulk, ever. Very smart kiddo. She’s right, he’s being too loud and making such a mess, bad Hulk! Banner should have to go back and clean it all up, after some time-out step sitting, ofc.”
We’re not sure what scene she’s watching, but Hulk is clearly having some anger issues.
Now that she’s seen the film, the 2-year-old is more obsessed with the character than ever. She even dressed up like Hulk for Halloween this year!
We just hope she didn’t get angry.
