There is nothing sweeter than the innocence of a child.

Raising kids isn’t always easy. Sometimes, even small children butt heads with their parents. But usually, homes are filled with love, which includes plenty of hugs and kisses. If you’re a parent, you know that kids also do things completely out of the blue. That’s what makes them so special.

Raising a child right

Every responsible parent has the same goal…raising their kids right. That means to show respect to others, use good manners, and obey mom and dad. Even though you repeat yourself, you probably wonder if they’re understanding anything you say. But then, they do something that shows you’re on the right track.

There’s a toddler in the house

Between the ages of two and three, parents have their hands full. Along with playfulness and curiosity, toddlers begin to show more independence. Although you know they’re not capable of doing everything themselves, they sure want to try.

Early learning

Kids learn throughout their entire childhood but when toddlers, they soak things up like sponges. Along with little hints of defiance, which makes you want to scream, they’re also going through a significant learning phase. This is when they begin to think for themselves.

“Calgon…take me away”

You might’ve heard this phrase from a popular television commercial. And as a mom or dad, that’s how you feel sometimes when dealing with a toddler. But even though your life is crazier than ever, you wouldn’t change it for the world.

More good things than bad

Looking at your life objectively, you’ll see that all-in-all, the days are filled with more good things than they are bad. You might feel exhausted at the end of the day but the nighttime stories and gentle kisses make everything okay. With parenting, you can expect a household that consists of both chaos and love.

Smarter than you think

Another fascinating thing about toddlers is they’re a lot smarter than you think. They might act crazy at times but parents don’t usually give their kids enough credit. This goes beyond identifying colors and shapes. It’s something you’ll notice in the way they interact, respond, and communicate.

Personality galore

Toddlers have a ton of personality. As a parent, you see a lot of it at home. But once a child begins preschool, they blossom. With a little bit of independence, their true colors begin to shine. While it’s hard watching a baby turn into an independent child, it’s still something to celebrate.

One little boy’s story

Makhi Martin is a handsome three-year-old who just started preschool. Remember that kids do things that people never expect. While in class preparing to eat lunch, he stood up from his seat, clasps his hands firmly, closed his eyes, and then it happened.

A beautiful prayer

Right there in front of his classmates and teacher, this sweet boy began to pray. Now, this wasn’t something like “The Lord’s Prayer” that a lot of children know but one that came from his heart. This three-year-old didn’t care who heard him, he simply felt the need to pray.

His special words

So, what did Makhi pray? “Father God. We thank you for this food. We ask you to bless it. Make it nourishment to our bodies. Bless all the boys and girls all over the world to receive food. In Jesus’ name…Amen.”
