Little kids are a guaranteed source of entertainment, especially when they surprise you with their smartness.
You might think that being a parent makes you the teacher and your child the student, but this isn’t always the case.
Take one mom of Zoe Wendel, a sassy little girl who makes up her own rules.
Zoey has gone on to become a viral sensation, and it’s mostly thanks to a 2013 video of Zoe and her mom out shopping.
Now, 2013 was a time when even a video of someone crossing the road was entertaining, simply because it was something to watch.
But this short video of Zoe was, and still is, hilarious enough to have racked up more than 5 million views.
It’s the perfect example of the little things that toddlers do that make you smile. It doesn’t take much for them to get your lips twitching, especially not in Zoe’s case.
In the video, mom films as Zoe runs ahead in a clothes store. She’s doing the classic toddler run, arms in the air, off on a mission.
Toddlers have a habit of running away from their parents, and there’s a reason for this.
From an early age, toddlers quickly realize that they’re their own person, and they become eager to explore the world – without realizing that if they run off, mom can’t be there to protect them.
There’s no easy way to get your kid to walk with you at all times – you can only tell them to stay by your side and hope that they’ll listen.
So when Zoe sets off at speed down the clothing aisle, her mom is quick to shout, “no running”.
That should have been the end of that, but little Zoe stops, listens, and has a think.
You can also see the cogs turning in her head. She knows that she loves running, but mom has just told her that she can’t… so what’s equally as fun that is allowed?
Eventually, Zoe knows exactly what to do, and she sets off down the aisle again… this time dancing.
If you didn’t already love the cheeky toddler by this point, you will now.
Her dancing is the cutest thing, complete with booty wiggles and head bobs and waving arms.
It doesn’t matter that the store’s music is totally uninteresting – there’s a beat, and that means Zoey’s going to dance.
Mom, watching her daughter’s moves, can’t help but laugh at her antics. We’re guessing it’s never a dull day in her eyes.

These days, as a grown-up girl, you can find her singing, dancing, and even claiming to speak “French”. She’s hilarious!
