Daddy may be this tough, hard working man with muscles that need beer to fuel them but once his baby girl says “I love you” he melts like butter on a hot pan. And he should seeing as his little princess is now the owner of that manly heart of his.
Little Ellie is twelve weeks old in this clip shared by her mom, Heather Sugden.
This pretty baby girl lets out what sounds like those three beautiful words every parent never gets tired of hearing. Sure she’s only about three months old so an actual coherent sentence is impossible but it’s close enough!
Ellie would rather coo and gurgle and babble but as is with other babies, sometimes they make sounds that sound all too familiar.
She may not utter real words but this baby sure can understand what her parents say to her. It’s not just the words but the tone mom and dad use when communicating with her.
At her age, it’s more associating words with situations and people but Ellie will learn soon enough. I mean look at the way she’s looking up at daddy while she communicates her love for him!
Here’s more from Parents,
“Babies listen from day one. They learn to associate sounds with their sources, like barking with the family dog. Her first communication will be crying, but she’ll soon start using her tongue, lips, and palate to make gurgles and long vowel sounds like “oo,” “aa,” and “ee”—precursors to Baby’s first words. Babies as young as 4 weeks can distinguish between similar syllables like “ma” and “na.” Around 2 months, they begin to associate certain sounds with certain lip movements.”
And Ellie is a smart baby girl!
Her eyes, her facial expression says it all. She’s really sending her message across and it’s taking her all her tiny efforts. Ellie may feel like she’s insignificant but her dad would say otherwise.
Listen to him try to coax her in to saying it again!
Ellie certainly seems to know what it means. And she says it again! That’s enough to get mom giggling and dad gushing. Ellie’s gorgeous eyes say the same thing too!
Those cheeks are begging for mom’s and dad’s kisses aren’t they? And that natural baby smell always gets an adult smiling and wanting more.
It’s not until six months that she will know and recognize her name but this is a good start. And time really does fly so mom and dad had better enjoy every single moment and every milestone. Before they know it, she’ll be wanting a car!
So let her utter all those syllables and all her silly baby talk because it’s a wonderful way to learn. All mom and dad have to do is to encourage her before they get an actual “I love you.” The sweetest words ever.
Listen to Ellie say those magical words below – do you hear it as clearly as mom and dad do?
