Having a sibling or two (or three or four) definitely means a wild, crazy, and chaotic ride. One that tests all your emotions, pushes you to your limits, ushers you into the wonderful reality of having people to love, support, and look out for – and them doing the exact same thing for you. It isn’t always fun. But at the end of the day, no matter how many fights you get into, your siblings will be the first ones to make sure nothing and no one hurts you.
That’s why having a twin is extra special.
With little (we’re talking just seconds or minutes) to no age difference, having a twin is basically being born with a best friend in tow. Someone who may have different interests but will always stick by your side and hold your hand as you navigate through life together; someone who fully understands what it’s like at each stage.
It’s even more fun when you have an identical twin.
You can playfully confuse people as you’ll share the same eye color, hair color, and maybe even weight. Not everyone will actually look closely for differences!
There’s a way, though. According to Very Well Family, body anomalies such as birthmarks, freckles, and moles will differ among individuals. These are considered physical clues that will help parents and relatives set the twins apart.
More importantly, twins will have very distinct personality traits just like most babies, too.
They may look identical but traits like personality, expression, and emotions always vary.
This “best-friends-since-birth” pair are great examples of just how much fun twins have together.
The cooing and babbling will have you convinced that they’re in deep conversation and are even actually finishing each other’s sentences.

Is this a serious discussion or just clever banter between siblings? Could they be exchanging thoughts on the taste of milk? There’s really no way of finding out but observing their facial expressions and listening to the adorable sounds they make is just too precious.
Just look at their smiles. And those cheeks! Oh, boy. We could listen to these two converse all day.
Even their non-verbal cues will leave you guessing. While parents of twins definitely have their work cut out for them, they’re rewarded with so much more than just a daily dose of cuteness.

Set aside the sleepless nights, the ever-confusing transition between stages, and the chaos of it all, and you have a home that smells perfect and is filled with nothing but love and happiness.
