This is too adorable. Siblings are everyone’s first friends and playmates. The best part is that sibling relationships are always unpredictable. From infancy to adulthood, having brothers or sisters play a huge part in a person’s development.
Having siblings will help with a child’s social skills which also leads to helping them resolve conflicts while learning to share and at the same time develop that protective, nurturing instinct. Of course, the parents play a vital role in all this.
Little Remi is an 8 month old darling, and in this video, she tries to wake her sleeping big brother up. Drew is three-years-old in this video and you can see him on the couch enjoying his vacation in dreamland.
She’s on all fours looking at Drew.
Remi says something in toddler babble before she slowly makes her way to her older brother. Drew is very comfortable as you can see, shirtless and all. Go wake him, little girl!
Pink sweater, flowers on pajamas, and socks for this little princess.
She inches her way to Drew, even uttering a few sounds which would probably be Drew’s name. She turns around to face the camera as if seeking mom’s approval for what she’s about to do. Such a pretty baby!
Remi calls out to Drew once more.
She grabs hold of her sleeping brother’s hand, using the couch as leverage to stand, and what does she do next? She puts her hand on her brother’s face. Remi faces mom again seeking confirmation for her actions.
Those are the rosiest cheeks ever!
She stops and stares at her brother who at this point still hasn’t budged from his position. Remi begins poking Drew’s lips with a finger finally eliciting a response from him. But Drew goes back to sleep!
Remi looks at mom, wondering why Drew won’t open his eyes to her prompting. She lays a whole hand on her brother’s face, squeezing Drew’s cheeks in the process. Still nothing! What’s it going to take to wake him, Remi?
Remi starts shrugging Drew’s shoulders putting all her baby weight behind her nudging. He’s stirring, keep at it!
A pull on the arm, another face squeeze, and… Drew opens his eyes! Hey, big bro! Remi looks at mom amazed at what she just did, her adorable face all lit up with joy and wonder.
Mom whispers to her daughter that she really should wake up Drew. She encourages Remi to try again. The toddler barely touched her brother when Drew finally turns around, stretching his legs down on the couch before he gets off to hug and kiss his baby sister on her lovely little face.
He’s such a sweet big brother.
Remi seemed to have been caught by surprise but that’s okay. Drew stands up, drowsy face and all, to face his mom. The handsome young prince is awake. Mom starts to narrate how Remi was trying to wake him up. How does Remi respond?
She looks at mom and lets out a gurgling grin and a squeal of joy. That’s got to be the best alarm clock ever. You can bet that Drew will be the best big brother ever. Remi will be guided and protected by Drew for life. And by the looks of it, they’ll be best friends too!
