Getting the foul ball at a baseball game – that maybe one of the most awesome things that we can get to experience in watching live sports!
Any fan would be thrilled if they were given a foul ball! If you’re a fan of sports such as baseball, then you know how exciting this can be! We’ve seen so many of these “moments” on cam and the reaction of the people are priceless!
In some events, there are even people who’d do some pretty shocking things just to get their hands over that precious ball but not Ryan. He’s definitely something else and that’s why his sweet story became viral.
MBL or Major League Baseball posted a video on YouTube last September 05, 2014. It focuses on a young boy who gets a foul ball but then decides to give it to the cute little girl behind him.
In the game, one of the team’s ball girls went straight to Ryan and handed over the foul ball to him. He and his brother were shocked and thrilled, but no one was prepared for his next move.
In an instant, he handed the ball to the young girl behind him. No hesitations, he handed it over and just smiled.
“I think that’s one of the nicest things I’ve seen at the ballpark all year,” said the team broadcaster Jerry Remy said on NESN.
Everyone around them was surprised by Ryan’s sweet act of kindness and the little girl’s mom was so shocked and she looked at the boy and said thank you.
The cute little girl, was shocked, shy, and overwhelmed by the surprise gift that she received.
Who wouldn’t? That’s definitely something you don’t see every day!
We adore how Ryan’s mom was smiling and she was indeed very proud of her son’s sweet gesture.
Truly, it’s a parent’s joy to see their children be kind and giving. Teaching your child to be kind to others is something that is learned from home and from their heart.
Later, a reporter named Gary was sent to the audience so he can speak to Ryan. They talked about how he was so kind to give away the foul ball and the humble kid simply replied.
“Well, I’ve seen people do it before and I thought it’s a nice thing, and it’s good to make people happy,” Ryan shared to the interviewer while smiling.
He was humble and for him, he didn’t do anything extravagant, he did it because he wanted to. As a reward, he and his brother was given their own ball for souvenir.
Because of his good and sweet act kindness, Ryan was given a bag of goodies from The Red Sox!
How awesome is that?
As usual, Ryan did something heartwarming again. He reached out into the bag and pulled a red bracelet and then he handed it again to the cute little girl.
A simple act for some but for us, it’s something worth sharing. Kindness is beautiful and will never go out of style!
