In Georgetown, South Carolina, a group of hardworking sanitation workers are known for more than just keeping the streets clean.
They bring a special kind of cheer to the local neighborhoods, especially to the children who eagerly await their arrival.
As they go about their daily rounds, these friendly workers make it a point to honk, wave, and even check in on how people are doing.
Their warm presence has made them quite popular among the residents, particularly the kids who can’t wait to see them drive down the street.
One such excited child was four-year-old Finn.
He stood in his driveway, eagerly waiting for the garbage truck, with a unique plan in mind. He wanted to dance, and he did just that, right as the workers arrived.
Marcus Doiley, one of the sanitation workers, couldn’t resist joining in.
He stepped out and matched Finn’s enthusiasm, turning the moment into an impromptu dance battle that delighted the young boy.
The dance-off was a sight to behold. Finn, bouncing and clapping, watched as Marcus showed off his energetic dance moves.
The joy was palpable, and the energy between the two kept the dance battle lively and fun.
Luckily, Finn’s mom was there to capture the end of this adorable dance-off on video.
The footage quickly became a hit online, with many people expressing their love and admiration for the heartwarming scene.
The local and online communities were abuzz with positive comments.
One parent shared: “My granddaughter loves the waste management guys. She waves at the window to them. She is only 1 1/2.”
Another parent posted about her son, dressed in a garbage man costume, waving to the workers.
The internet was filled with love and appreciation for these awesome sanitation workers.
After the video went viral, the kind-hearted workers, including Marcus, paid Finn another visit.
His mom shared on Facebook:
“Sweet boy was soooo surprised that Mr. Marcus came by not only with goodies but with all his department friends too! He pulled the shy card and hid but once the crowd calmed back down to his favorite guy then he was back to his normal busy boy self.”
She added, “Thankful for these guys, always taking time to chat with the kids and make it fun. It’s truly so special and it makes Finn’s day every time.”
