Weddings are a lot of fun to show off the different personalities of the new couple. Some people sing to each other, some have amazing speeches, and others choreograph a dance to entertain their guests.
This couple did something of that nature, but the dancers they had perform weren’t what you would expect. Plus the bride had a surprise for her guests.
The performance starts out with just two girls taking over the dance floor with the beginning of a traditional Irish dance to everyone’s favorite song ‘Shut Up and Dance’ by Walk the Moon. The duo is completely in sync. Irish dancing is a lot of footwork, and the way that they nail every move is impressive.
Just then, two more girls jump in without any hesitation or catching up.
After their quick quartet, another group of 6 dancers comes out and start to dance to the second verse of the song. Again, perfectly in sync. The girls make the dance look so easy and effortless.
Their top halves hardly move compared to their legs, which are guiding their feet into tapping in time perfectly to the beat of the song.
Next thing you know, the two groups have joined forces and now there’s 10 girls flawlessly dancing to ‘Shut Up and Dance’. They keep time perfectly.
There are no missteps. And they all make the complex routine look like anyone could do it. these girls have clearly been dancing a long time and their level of professionalism shows.
One thing that isn’t as noticeable is the bride and groom watching and clapping along in the background, but they are mesmerized by the performance.
The girls come together in a single line, still tapping, but almost gliding across the floor in stead of walking. Then they break off into 2 lines parallel to each other, constantly tapping to the beat of the song and never losing time.
After pairing off the girls make their way to the dance floor, and before the wedding guests can comprehend whats happening, the bride and her daughter are out on the floor.
The duo are only on the floor long enough to have a short solo performance and give each other a twirl but the moment is magic. Right off the bat, we notice that the two are barefoot, but that doesn’t slow them down any (and neither does a flowing wedding dress!).
Just because their feet aren’t as loud doesn’t mean they are any less talented!
Pretty soon the rest of the dancers are already falling in line behind the bride to pick up where they left off, while the she leads the show. You can see the brides new husband watching from the back, with a huge smile painted on his face.
Before we even realize whats happening the bride breaks off again, and the dancers form another tunnel that transforms into a line. The bride AND groom breakthrough it hand in hand, and he spins her for the crowd.
After she twirls he goes for the romantic dip and gives his new wife a kiss to end the performance.
