But the video in question shows the two kiddos in a sweet moment of bonding this year.
It’s pretty clear that Colten loves having a baby sister.
He cradles Claidadee in his arms and sings her a song that she seems pretty soothed by.
The tune in question? “Count On Me,” by Bruno Mars, which is playing in the background.
It’s a sweet song of friendship (well, at least for siblings that get along this well!).
“If you tossin’ and you’re turnin’ and you just can’t fall asleep

And if you ever forget how much you really mean to me

No one knows what their relationship will be like as they get older, but it’s pretty clear that it would take a lot to sever this bond.
Child development specialists who have studied siblings say that both older and younger siblings positively influence each other and even help increase each other’s capacity for empathy over time.
“Older siblings play an important role in the lives of their younger siblings. Like parents, older brothers and sisters act as role models and teachers, helping their younger siblings learn about the world. This positive influence is thought to extend to younger siblings’ capacity to feel care and sympathy for those in need: Children whose older siblings are kind, warm, and supportive are more empathic than children whose siblings lack these characteristics,” said researchers from the Society for Research in Child Development.
And the bigger the age difference, the bigger the positive influence.
That might explain why these two have such a strong bond – they’re separated by about 7 years.
