Kids react differently whenever they go to school.
While some show enthusiasm and look forward to another day at school, some find it boring and tiresome.
Interesting because these reactions tell us that not all kids are the same. At the same time, this shows us adults what we exactly looked like when we were at their age.
According to the Child Mind Institute, some children behave differently at home and school, which can confuse parents.
Some do well at school because they like the routine and structure but struggle more at home, while others find school stressful and act differently there.
Some kids manage to hold it together at school but struggle at home, possibly due to different rules and expectations.
It’s important to talk to teachers to understand what’s causing stress and behavior changes, then work together to help children feel better. Adding more structure at home or sharing home routines with teachers can help.
For kids with behavior struggles, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) can be effective, teaching them how to manage emotions and behaviors, with support from parents too.
After all, kids are kids, and they are still in their learning curve and figuring out things.
In a viral video shared by his mother Amber Tinker, 4-year-old Jude from Missouri stole the spotlight with his blunt honesty.
Coming home from school dressed in a red T-shirt and black shorts, the seemingly annoyed boy said, “Do you hear me? I’m cranky. I’m tired. I worked hard at school.”
Off-camera, Jude’s father, Justin Tinker, humorously asked if Jude didn’t want to be bothered that night.
Undeterred, Jude reaffirmed his feelings by exclaiming, “No, I’m cranky. I’m tired. I worked hard at school.”
Amber Tinker recalled the unexpected exchange that was about to happen after Jude’s return from preschool one day in September.
She also highlighted Jude’s unpredictable nature.
“He’s just so unpredictable. You just never know what’s going to come out of his mouth,” she shared.
Who can blame the little boy?
Despite his playful antics, Amber described Jude as “really funny without meaning to be,” noting his occasional serious demeanor that resembles that of a little grown-up.
She also referred to him as her “wild child” and acknowledged his big personality and love for outdoor activities like fishing.
Addressing questions about Jude’s long blond hair, Amber explained that Jude adamantly prefers it that way, despite having had one haircut before.
She said, “We have given him a haircut once before and he just feels very strongly that he likes his long hair.”
The video of the family’s funny conversation went viral.
It was shared on different social media platforms and was featured on several local news channels.
One viewer on Instagram commented on the video:
“The cutest. You can tell how much he loves his dad too. It wasn’t a no to wrestling. He just has to stop getting cranky and tired. Sweet child. May God bless him always.”
While another viewer from Facebook wrote:
“I can watch this 1000 times and wouldn’t get tired of it – I’ve probably done watched it 200 times – my favorite is “well maybe” when asked do you wanna wrestle after while?”
