“Fall on Me” is a song by Italian singer Andrea Bocelli and his son, Matteo Bocelli. Both the Italian and English versions of the track were included on Bocelli’s 2018 album, Si. Released as a single back in 2018, it was written by American duo, A Great Big World, who eventually recorded their own version with Christina Aguilera.
Recently, a father-daughter duo took the Internet by storm with their own version of the touching song.
Meet Mat and Savanna Shaw.
They’re both really passionate about music and love singing together at home. In fact, one of the closets in the house serves as their makeshift recording studio.
They also shoot videos right in their kitchen! Casual.
It’s not just that they both love singing – they’re both extremely good at it.
This wasn’t the first Andrea Bocelli song they covered, either. Their version of “The Prayer” was shared in hopes of spreading a positive message. What they didn’t expect was for the video to earn over 4 million views.
Now, users the world over always look forward to seeing what Mat and Savanna have in store for them next.
Just like “The Prayer”, “Fall on Me” sends a message of hope, too. Producer Bob Ezrin shared a bit about the track:
“It was written as a conversation between two young people who were uncertain of love and looking to each other for support; I thought with a very, very small adjustments this could easily be a conversation between a father and a son who is unsure of love and life and doesn’t know his position in the world who suddenly hears the voice of his father come to him from afar, and the wisdom of the father and the love of the father would come to him and help guide him.”

And because Mat and Savanna share a beautiful father-daughter relationship, their duet amplified the song’s meaning and added more depth and magic to the already captivating track.
As they sing, one can’t help but notice the proud, admiring looks Mat gives his daughter. In fact, in the description of the video, Mat writes:
“This song was written for a parent and child; and honestly, it was difficult to get through without getting emotional. I kept thinking about how as a parent, I often have to allow my children to go through hard things to help them grow. About how much I want them to feel my love through it all. Savanna, I love you and am so proud of you!”
There’s really nothing in the world as beautiful as a close, loving relationship shared by parents and children.
