Sometimes the reviews of a product, service or place, can be the best part about that thing. People’s honesty in the comment sections of Amazon or other apps can provide some great entertainment. This dad gave an honest review of his daughters restaurant and the internet ran with it.
Chris Kyle is an entrepreneur and father of little Ava, the little girl who has gone viral for her imaginary kitchen skills. Since Chris is lucky enough to get to spend all day with his little girl while working from home, he took some time to ‘have lunch’ with her one afternoon and posted about the experience on Instagram.
With an honest and heartfelt caption, the post went so viral that thousands of people have liked, shared, commented, and interviewed the father. “During these times I’m glad to see our post shine bright in the lives of people around the world.” Chris said.
His Instagram caption opened with: “So I tried to support another Black Owned Business for lunch today. It’s called Ava’s kitchen, just opened up end of April. It’s a very clean establishment, but whewww let me tell you about this owner.”
“First off I asked why there are balloons on my chair, and its not my birthday? She talm’bout, mind yah business; those are mommy’s.” He goes on to mention the sitting area and kitchen as if it’s a real restaurant, helping make Ava’s fantasy world come alive.
Then in typical toddler fashion Ava strays a little bit from the standard restaurant process. “I been waiting on my order to get done for 45 minutes, and I’m the only customer here. She was making good process at first, then she stopped for 20 minutes to watch Paw Patrol.” Chris goes on to say in his post
“Overall the customer service could be better, but the cook is a cutie; so I’ll giver her another chance. Let’s not give up on Black businesses so fast after one mistake.”
And with that line he brings the post to something so relevant happening in the world without giving too much ridicule to his daughters cooking skills).
When the world is experiencing rough times, it makes us feel good when we see posts like this that can brighten our day. Even though the story is short and it’s really just about a father joking with his daughter, it has a small enough message at the end to get people thinking. Without getting too political, Chris tells a great story and leaves a great message for everyone who read.
