There is no such thing as a dull moment with a toddler.
All parents know how cute it is to hear them laugh and squeal for joy. They adore their parents. They want to shower their moms and dads with hugs and kisses all the time.

But as you know, toddlers can also be a handful!
If you have a toddler, chances are you have seen your child throw a major fit. You were also probably told that these explosions are normal. After all, this is their way of expressing that they want or need something.
However, what you know about parenting fly out of the window when your little one starts yelling. It can be frustrating. But don’t worry! Every parent has been through this.

This dad has a tip for parents of toddlers
In this video that has been viewed over 800 thousand times, we see a dad expertly calming his son down.
When the video begins, we see a toddler crying his heart out while his dad drives. We soon find out that the little boy is called Hunter. He is three years old.
Yep! Three-year-olds have their own phase too!
We all hear of terrible two’s. What most parents do not mentally prepare for is that three-year-olds can be just as tough.
As we see in the video, Hunter keeps on crying while his dad tries to distract him. The little one is unfazed. His father’s cool ribbing about how his day has been does not work.
Then comes a trick that is almost too good to be true.
While Hunter continues to bawl, his dad takes out his hand. He immediately turns it into a makeshift puppet. At first, Hunter pretends not to care. He ignores all the puppet’s questions and continues to cry.
This dad does not give up!
After being ignored by Hunter several times, the dad quickly turns his puppet’s attention to him. He and his hand start having a silly conversation. The dad is basically talking to himself. Kind of funny, right?
This dad has more tricks in his back pocket
To make the entire show more interesting, Hunter’s dad starts using a muppet voice. We are not quite sure if he sounds like Elmo, Kermit the Frog, or Oscar the Grouch. It does not matter though. His voice acting is starting to get our toddler’s attention.
The muppet hand wins
After a good minute of bawling, Hunter gives in. He looks at his dad’s hand and starts to laugh. We are not surprised. The dad and his make-shift puppet are adorable.
Sounds and looks too simple, right?
Apparently, this method has been tried and tested by others too. One commenter wrote that:
This trick just saved me! I am babysitting a 2 year old who was screaming & crying nonstop when his grandmother left. Nothing I tried was working; I found your video and it was like magic. THANK YOU!!!
So, next time you cannot stop your little one, why not try this trick? You literally won’t lose anything.
