Ever heard of the myth where dads do things maybe a bit too differently to their wives when it comes to taking care of the kids?
A father from Bordentown, New Jersey, just proved this myth to be true when he shared a solution to a confounding father problem.
In his video you could see his two daughters standing right in front of him, waiting for their dad to dry their hair.
But the thing is, his wife Christie went away for the weekend and brought the family’s one and only hairdryer. Without the gadget nearby and with the girls’ hair all wet and cold, he knew he had to improvise. These girls cannot go to bed if their hair is sopping wet like that.
Modern problems require modern solutions, and modern solutions usually require at least one tool in the shed, and a bit of creativity to get you what you need.
If you can use a garden hose for a shower and bath your kids like they’re potter roses, what would stop you from using your trust leaf blower to dry some wet tresses?
He said in the video:
“This is what happens when mommy took the hair dryer with her on the weekend and I just gave the girls a tubby.”
His two daughters, Dylan and Isla, stood by the wall but were watching closely at what their dad has on his hand. If a hairdryer is blowing out air, then what are the odds that a leaf blower would deliver the exact same result?
This dad is about to find out when he asked his daughters to brace themselves.
You can hear the machine whir into life, making the two girls jump in surprise.
The younger one even covered her ears when the leaf blower started screaming at them. She was also hesitant at first but when the fast winds were pressing on the older girl’s face, the younger sister began jumping and screaming in excitement.
We can’t tell if the leaf blower is actually drying their hair, but the way the kids are excitedly bouncing around would tell you that the dad may have made the right call on this one.
They’re even walking a bit closer just to see how much of the high-powered wind they could take.
Even if their eyes are squinting from the force and how much the leaf blower is tossing them around, it was pretty clear that they are having a really good time. Looks like the dad ruined hair dryers for these girls.
At this point, he might have dried their hair, their clothes, and their energy. Good thing it’s time for bed, though. Just goes to show that his solution was not only effective but efficient as well.
