After a long day, taking a relaxing bath will calm and soothe anyone’s nerves, including puppies! In this video, we see a pair of mini Dachshunds get so excited for bathtime, they can’t wait and jump right in.
Baths are a known stress reliever for people, but how about dogs?
Usually, most dogs get a little jumpy before or during that bath, but in this video we see two mini Dachshunds prove that bathtime means the opposite for them. When their mom even says bath timer, the dogs go crazy trying their fastest to get to the bath.
They run up the stairs into the bathroom and start jumping to try and get into the baths themselves! It is quite a sight to see the two short-legged pups try to jump into the baths with no help and one actually successfully gets in on his own.
Once the pups get in the bath, they swim around so joyfully, and you can tell bathtime is one of their favorite times. Now, most puppies or fully grown dogs do not like baths, with one comment stating,
“I could never get my dogs into the tub like this even if I threw a steak.”
Are mini dachshunds natural water dogs or are do these two just have a knack for bathtime?
As you can tell in this video, miniature Dachshunds are exactly what it says in their name; mini! Although they are quite long, their height stands at only five to six inches. Their personality is known to be energetic and pleasant, and because of the texture of their fur, they don’t need much grooming.
Although many dogs don’t like bathtime, some mini Dachshunds do love baths and this duo proves that to be a fact. Now, with their tiny legs and long bodies, walking upstairs is something that should be limited to this breed. The owner of these pups even states she only lets the pups do it this one time.
Also seeing these dogs jump with so much velocity and height is highly impressive! The way thee pup launches himself into the bath is truly amazing.
Once these two pups are in the bath, it turns from bathtime to playtime!
Two is better than one, and that is definitely the case when it comes to dogs. When you have two dogs, they can entertain each other and these mini Dachshunds seem to have no problem doing that. Not only do they hype each other up on their way to the bath, once they’re in it is game time.
They start to swim around in the bath just playing with each other, not even realizing the bath is meant for them to get clean, not play! It is such an adorable sight to see, and a highly unlikely one usually when it comes to dogs.
