Funeral services are supposed to be filled with tears and sorrow, however, this one was suddenly filled with waves of laughter when the guests received a surprise gift.
Jo Marie “Jodie” Perryman from Breckenridge, Texas sadly passed away just recently on October 12th. But instead of her loved ones shedding pales of tears during her funeral service, she had everyone giggling when they saw Jodie’s final gift to them all.
For the last time, she decided to pull off a clever prank on everybody who attended her funeral service, particularly her relatives. The humorous grandma wanted hers to be unique and worth remembering at the same time.
Her granddaughter, Gracie Perryman decided to take a snap of her grandma’s final gift to them and shared it on Twitter. To no surprise, the hilarious present made tens to hundreds of thousands of people laugh along with her.
It’s not usual to receive a gift during a funeral service, let alone a Ouija board.
Turns out, Jodie had everything arranged for the people who would attend her funeral to be presented with an odd gift from her. Gracie’s photo of the gift shows a photo of a small Ouija board glued to what seems like a folded cardboard and along with it is her grandma’s wacky photo giving the finger with a hilarious message: “Let’s keep in touch!”

Although it may sound scary, perhaps, what she really wanted to say was that she wouldn’t be far, especially to those dear to her heart.
In Gracie’s Tweet, she wrote alongside the funny photo, “Received this at my grandma’s funeral. What an icon.”
A fulfilled promise.
Back in August, Jodie already told her network on Facebook that “everyone will be gifted their very own Ouija board” at her funeral. To their surprise, Gracie’s grandmother fulfilled her promise when the witty gift was finally revealed.
Her initial reaction was “What on Earth is this?”
Instead of tears, the entire room of 30 to 40 people started giggling in their seats as they open their gifts.
Kidding aside, what Jodie’s family and friends would definitely remember was her positive attitude and sense of humor. As it’s stated in his obituary, “She had a quick wit and a clever sense of humor, which kept everyone who knew her on their toes. lt was rare to win a battle of wits with her.”
She was known for her yummy cooking, particularly her chicken enchiladas, burritos, fried chicken, and Christmas candies. And believe it or not, she loved playing video games to the extent of even winning against her children.
As of this writing, Gracie’s Tweet has already gained 76.1K retweets and 733.6K likes!
A lot of people couldn’t help but praise the funny side of Jodie up to her last moments on Earth.
One Twitter user even shared her own experience and wrote, “The last time I got to talk to my best friend, before ovarian cancer took her, I asked her to send me a postcard from her next adventure.I get little signs every once and awhile. It’s a nice thing so this just make the messaging easier. Brilliant.”
This is one funeral service that will be forever remembered by Jodie’s family and friends.
