6-Year-Old Takes Home First Place With Precious Dance

Six year olds go through lots of changes in social and cognitive skills. There’s also more freedom towards independence both intellectually and emotionally. This is also the age where they learn to make decisions and the consequences of those choices after, including cravings for attention and affection from their peers.

These six year old tots are curious and determined. Now kids would normally have no issues singing or dancing for their parents. But on stage in front of a crowd? That’s a different story.

Elliana Walmsley is one six year old who seemed to defy the status quo for kids her age.

This talented little lady learned to dance to “Somewhere Over the Rainbow”. Learning choreography at her age isn’t as simple as most people would think.

The song is a classic and timeless ballad composed by Harold Arlen. Children would associate this song from the movie “The Wizard of Oz”, and since then, countless artists have made their own renditions through different genres of this song.

The adorable six year old breathed new life into the song with a performance not soon forgotten.

Little Elliana has incredible stage presence. From the moment she stepped in front of her audience, they knew it was going to be really special. Her charm and confidence were a perfect match for her poise and talent.

Elliana walked way more confidently on stage than most adults could and in her red, two-piece costume with a matching headband sat in the center and waited for her music.

When the song came on, this little lady began to swing her arms to the music. Look how graceful she is!

Check out her flexibility! Ms. Walmsley displays her versatility with dance steps inspired from ballet, jazz, and contemporary which just shows how truly talented this youngster is. She’s got a bright future ahead of her!

With steps that seem impossible for a six year old, Elliana executed them with perfection not once wavering but constantly smiling with confidence as she delighted her audience with her charisma.

Her confident demeanor coupled with that little girl charm made her entire routine so mesmerizing to watch. Elliana’s twirls, jumps, and other moves had everyone’s attention and surely they were all more than impressed.

We’re willing to bet that she’s on the road to becoming a professional dancer someday.

She’s an amazing ballerina with unquestionable appeal. They love her so much that little Elliana won First Overall in the Age 6 Lyrical Solo Division of this dance competition. Imagine that.

To think that at her age, building self-esteem is crucial. Six year olds need to be surrounded by lots of support and will need constant approval from whoever their audiences are as they acquire new skills.

Praising kids is very important for the reason that you cannot stop a determined child from achieving their goals. So build them up while they’re young.

Elliana never showed any signs of nervousness. No jitters, no hesitations, nothing. She wanted to win and she did just that. She has astonishing drive which clearly showed the moment she stepped on stage up to the finish.

The rainbow is hers to dance and glide on and surely, it shines brighter for talented kids like Elliana who, though she may not be aware, serves as an inspiration to many kids out there. Adults could learn a thing or two from her too.
