Kids all want to go to Disneyworld.
It’s been that way when we were young, and it’s still that way for kids born after us.
In fact, you could definitely call that a tale as old as time.
You’ll notice I dropped a Beauty And The Beast reference there. It’s because of this adorable little girl visiting Disney World dressed as Belle.
On one sunny day at Disney World, this family took their little girl to live out her Disney dreams.
She came dressed as Belle, with the blue dress and everything.
The performers at Disneyworld have their work cut out for them.
A lot is expected of them.
They’re expected to really make the guests believe that they’re the real deal.
So when you’re one of the performers there, like this Gaston, it’s absolutely crucial you nail the character.
When at Disney World, the magic has to be there.
It’s what the guests are paying for, and it’s what keeps the brand going.
This is especially true for young guests whose childhoods are being made as we speak.
So when little Belle met Disney World’s Gaston, it was only natural that the parents filmed it.
This Belle probably didn’t come from a little town or a quiet village.
Being able to go to a theme park is already a step above a provincial life, after all.
And there he is, Gaston.
Every guy wants to be him.
No doubt this performer had to stay in shape as much as stay in character.
As a specimen, this performer is indeed a bit intimidating.
But little Belle, whose real name is Lane, isn’t intimidated one bit.
In fact, this is the reason she came here.
But what does she have for him? It’s a book – her gift to him. Kinda strange since Gaston isn’t exactly someone who reads.
He isn’t going to say no to a present from Belle, however.
Belle is the girl of his dreams, after all.
Remember when he went through all that trouble of proposing to her only to be rejected?
Say what you want about Gaston, but his feelings were sincere.
If only he could handle rejection a bit better.
Things are different this time.
Belle made the first move, so Gaston takes a moment to look at the gift.
It’s a strange book. There’s no pictures of him in it. How could he possibly devote his attention to that?
He makes it a point to suggest this to young Belle.
But he still appreciates the gift. So he suggests he and Belle practice their wedding dance right now. She agrees.
And the onlookers and parents all give a collective “AWWW”.
This performer is doing a darn good job.
He then takes Belle for a short walk to a fountain nearby – one that bears a statue of him and Lefou.
Gaston tells her that they could easily commission a sculptor to add Belle to the statue once they’re married.
What a guy, that Gaston.
The day’s already going great, and he’s about to make it better with a photo op.
He and little Belle pose for photos together, and Lane is glad to do so.
She embraces him and kisses his hands, and he returns the favor.
The parents and onlookers are all melting at how sweet and approachable the Gaston performer is.
As she leaves, Gaston gives a dashing and flamboyant wave goodbye. “Bye, Belle”, he says with suave and manliness.
Little Belle blows him a kiss goodbye, which he pretends to catch and put on his bicep. Because where else would he put it?
