In this world that we live in today, almost everyone has access to a smart device and the internet.
As parents, our priority should be to protect our children’s privacy and take control over the contents that they have access to.
But it doesn’t always work that way.
The world sure can be scary, but that doesn’t mean we don’t have a choice. We always have the power to choose whichever way we want to use the internet.
This mom and daughter made millions laugh.
Kentucky mom, Kayla, literally ended the year 2022 with a bang when her TikTok account made quite a lot of social media users laugh online.
Adaline Catron, a young girl with a delightful personality, gained significant attention through a TikTok video where she was seen giving her mother, Kayla, a vibrant pink manicure.
The video has amassed nearly 18 million views, showcasing Adaline’s unique charm and wit.
As she stood on a towel to catch any drips, it was evident that the manicure was not without its challenges.
“Oops, you got it on my finger,” Kayla exclaimed.
“I’m trying my best, honeeeeey!” Adaline replied with a delightful southern drawl, adjusting her pink glasses and flashing a grin.
Her comedic timing was impeccable.
The toddler’s funny antics reminded people of someone In the comments section, one individual noted, “She reminds me of the actor Leslie Jordan. Sounds exactly like he would have said that.”
Another person added, “Fear not my friends!!! Leslie Jordan has been sent back to us.”
Leslie Jordan was a renowned actor known for his role as the sassy socialite Beverley Leslie in “Will & Grace.”
Sadly, he passed away in a car accident in October 2022 at the age of 67.
The Tennessee native not only won an Emmy for his portrayal in W&G but also gained fame through social media, where his hilarious, self-deprecating humor endeared him to many.
Standing at 4′ 11″ inches, Jordan was beloved for his unapologetic authenticity.
A mother’s prayer
Kayla, the mother of Adaline, hopes that her recently turned three-year-old daughter will continue to spread joy in the same way Jordan did.
“People are drawn to Addy,” Kayla, 28, shares with TODAY.com. “She’s sassy and opinionated β she’s like an old soul. She’ll just tell you how it is.”
Despite Adaline’s undeniable charm, Kayla initially had reservations about sharing her daughter with the world.
Adaline has underdeveloped optic nerves and is legally blind, which often leads to curious questions from adults when they encounter her in public.
“When we’re out, grown adults will come up and ask, ‘What is wrong with her?’ And ‘Why do her eyes do that?'” Kayla reveals. “So I was worried to put her on the internet. My husband actually had to convince me. He was like, ‘We need to do this. She’s going to make people smile. They’re going to love her.'”
Adaline’s father’s instincts proved to be right.
As one fan expressed on the manicure video, “She’s a Super Star already!!!!”
“I couldn’t be more proud of her,” Kayla shares with TODAY.com. “She really is a star.”
Adaline’s power to make people happy once again proved that social media can be a good source of happiness.
