Every so often you see a kid who seems to have an old soul. While it’s common for children to cry out of sadness and frustration, there are certain ones who shed tears over the beautiful moments too.
A video was captured of a little girl holding her new cousin for the first time. But instead of only being excited – she reacted the way that a grandmother or sensitive adult would. Get ready for your heart to melt!
Bree Miller from California gave birth to her beautiful daughter Marley Rae.
Like any proud mom, Bree wanted to introduce her new bundle of joy to other members of the family. This included Marley Rae’s two big cousins, who were looking forward to meeting their future playmate.
The sweet little girls sat close to Bree and watched her feed their cousin a bottle. Surely they were loving seeing the newborn up close – which for a child, would be like a baby doll come to life!
Eventually, older cousin Tiffany was given a chance to hold Marley Rae in her arms.
In the video, the girl is sitting on the couch with pillows to help keep the infant safe. She smiles as Bree gently lays Marley Rae on her lap, immediately wrapping her arms around her.
She then gives the baby a kiss.
All of a sudden, Tiffany starts getting emotional.
The girl’s eyes well up with tears as she holds onto her sleeping cousin. It’s obvious that she’s overwhelmed by the beauty of the moment, which is just too precious!
Tiffany can no longer hold back her tears.
At first, it seems like the little girl is trying not to cry. But as we know, sometimes you reach that point where there’s just no stopping it. Tears start rolling down her face as she cuddles adorable Marley Rae.
It seems to have been love at first sight.
A short time in Tiffany is asked, “What do you love about her?” It takes the girl a few moments to respond, but then she says in the sweetest voice, “I love everything about…Marley.”
The camera shifts and captures a glimpse of Tiffany’s toddler sister.
She walks into the room, excitedly yells, and leaves. Even though the tot is obviously younger, it allows Tiffany’s maturity to become even more apparent. After all, not many kids would be so moved by an infant that they’d cry!
Bree decided to share the heartwarming video on Instagram where it’s gathered tens of thousands of “likes.”
She wrote:
