Two adorable grandparents have been wholly welcomed by netizens after sharing a video of themselves dancing along to an Adam Lambert hit.
We’ve all picked up a few skills after the big “hunker-down” phase that we all underwent a few years ago, and this grandma and grandpa brushed up on their dancing skills.
You know what they say about practice? It pays off.
These grandparents are getting down.
There’s no sitting around and twiddling thumbs with these two, they’re going to show us how to do our downtime right.
Pay attention to grandma.
They’re dancing to Adam Lambert’s “Superpower”.
After being the runner-up for the 2009 season of American Idol, Lambert has only risen in success and fame.
Notably, Adam Lambert has succeeded the late Freddie Mercury as the lead vocalist of the legendary rock band Queen. He tours with the band, as well as for his own solo albums.
He’s a unique force in the music industry, and apparently, he can make time in isolation that much more pleasant.
These grans know how to jive.
With amazing enthusiasm, these grandparents stay active and enjoy themselves to the fullest.
The elderly are at a particularly high risk for the virus, so it’s especially important to make sure that they’re safe and stay at home.
But…that doesn’t mean it has to be boring. In fact, fun is anywhere you can find it.
Grandpa’s got stomps.
Part dance-off, part aerobics routine, you can see that these adorable people just love to keep moving.
Either that or they just love the song that much and have no choice but “work it” every time it’s on.
I’m guessing it’s a little bit of both, going off of how they seem to adore Lambert’s performance.
The passion lies entirely with Granny.
Grandma is giving me LIFE with her soulful moves.
She seems lost in the music and is simply vibing, feeling the power of Adam Lambert.
Aren’t they so much fun?
If social media is anything to be believed (debatable), most people are spending their days in isolation just watching Netflix, snacking and playing video games.
Not these two. They’re happy to have their own private Adam Lambert dance party.
We can learn from them.
The lesson that we can take away from these enthusiastic geriatric movers and shakers is that rather than feeling locked up and frustrated, we might as well enjoy ourselves.
Not only that, but moving around and staying active does wonders not just for our bodies, but for our minds.
So get up. Release those endorphins and sing along to Adam Lambert.
