There’s nothing sweeter in this world than a happy baby. Sure, babies are precious all the time – but when one’s smiling from ear to ear your heart goes melting into a puddle.

Dan and Mike are the proud dads of Emily Ruth, who they adopted as a newborn.
When she was a baby they thought she was the “ultimate baby.”
One day, they decided to film their five-month-old daughter waking up to show everyone her happiness in the morning. Apparently, she was a baby that was constantly giggling and laughing! Dan and Mike explained in the YouTube video description:
“She wakes up with a smile, goes all day with a smile, and falls asleep with a smile”
Time to get up sleepy head.
With the camera rolling, the dad goes into Princess Emily Ruth’s room and flips on the light. Adorably, she’s in the middle of her round crib with her hands behind her head. It’s already seeming like she’s loving life just from how she’s sleeping!
Ready to meet the “ultimate happy baby?”
Emily opens her eyes and sees her daddy in the room. He so kindly says to her in a sing-song voice,
“Good morning, Princess! Good morning, Sunshine – how are you?”
The baby’s face immediately lights up and she breaks into a big smile. Isn’t she just so cute?
Emily’s dad continues talking to her and being sweet as pie himself.
He asks her:
“Oh, are we happy this morning again? Why does that not surprise me – are we just kicking back with our hands behind our head?”
The baby is full of beautiful smiles listening to her dad. Now that would be a lovely way to wake up!
Like all new parents, Dan and Mike were a mix of emotions when they adopted their newborn daughter. They were extremely excited, and also a little scared too!
The dads decided they’d document Emily’s life online to show her that “the world is filled with amazing people and so much love.” Besides the clip of the “ultimate happy baby” waking up, their YouTube channel contains other videos of their smiley daughter that are also adorable. However, the one below is the most popular with over 768K views.
From the looks of it, Emily is showered with an incredible amount of love and kindness.
Throughout the video, she keeps her hands behind her head and grins from ear to ear. It sounds like the family has a nice routine too. The dad asks:
“Are we gonna go sit and read the newspaper together now? Yeah, we’ll have our cup of coffee and you have your cup of formula and we’ll read the paper?”
Perhaps she’s thinking…yes, Dad. That sounds like a wonderful way to start the morning!
Emily, of course, isn’t the only baby out there that wakes up in a happy mood.
According to the Parents website, babies that are between 4-6 months need (per day) about 14 hours of sleep, which is broken up between the nighttime and naps. Many adults would probably be a little less cranky too if they got that much sleep!
