Swing is so much more than a dance; it’s a way of life. The music gets stuck in your mind and the dance is in your heart and the whole scene is engraved on your soul. You can fly!” – Nicholas Hope
If you think you’re watching an old dance clip that was re-mastered in perfection, you’re definitely wrong! This video was recorded last February of 2018, and yes you’ve read that right.
At first glance, you’d think that you have been swept back in time in the 1920s to the 1940s or what we call the “swing era.” We can’t blame you, look at this couple – they are so beautiful!
Bianca and Nils
Meet Nils Andrén & Bianca Locatelli, these two lovely dancers travel the world so they can teach, compete and just to perform swing dance routines! They aren’t even new to this because together, they have won numerous awards and the best part of what they are doing is leaving their audiences begging for more!
Bianca and Nils started dancing young. In fact, they started with their passion as kids. Even before they met, they were already performing and competing along with their respective partners.
They have both already tried ballet, Latin dances, sports, ice hockey, ballroom, and even hiphop but there was something different about swing. One day, their paths crossed and Bianca knew she has to move to Sweden at a very young age of 16.
Since then, Nils and Bianca have started their journey together.
Their love for swing
This featured video was from “Rock That Swing Festival” that was held last 2018 at the Deutsches Theater München in Munich, Germany. Their performance was beyond words for most of us! It was breathtaking and amazing and you can actually play it over and over again!
They have been doing this for years and yet, you’d still see the excitement and the happiness that they have each time they do it. That’s their passion, their true love!
Maybe, that’s the reason why the video went viral with over 13 million views!
Rock that Swing Festival 2018
The video from RTSF 2018 starts as Nils & Bianca gives their audiences a sweet smile and when the song “Hey, Baby” from Margaret Cobb and Bruce Channel started playing, they also started their beautiful dance routine.
From their clothes, to Bianca’s hairstyle, you’d really think they have been living in the wrong era. Their dance routine isn’t just for winning or for passion, it’s more than that.
You can see it in their eyes, they love what they are doing and they know each other so well that every move is just so flawless!
We can’t even get enough of that sweet smile that they give each other that look of happiness while grooving to that beautiful song – everything was just so impeccable!
This is the reason why so many people follow their social media accounts; their influence to the people who watch them is so great that you’d want to try out dancing the “swing” yourself.
Don’t forget to follow their social media accounts to see more of their performances!
