The internet is full of “Git Up Challenge” videos that leave us grinning from ear to ear. Well, this one might actually make your jaw drop and have you wondering, “who turned up the heat?”
If you’re a fan of sexy, shirtless men shaking their rumps in a tropical setting, then you’ve come to the right place. Add in some red cowboy hats and “The Git Up” and it’s an entire party in a clip! Soon you’ll understand why there are over a million views (and counting).
The Git Up Challenge took the internet by storm all thanks to Blanco Brown and his country-rap track.
During the summer of 2019, people of all ages and professions were showing off their line dancing skills in videos they’d share online. There are set moves to Brown’s mega-hit, yet, all the other details are left to the participant. Cops danced on the side of a highway, pregnant women boogied in their living rooms, and teachers transformed their school into a dancehall.
While the challenge videos usually lift your spirits, the one below is slightly more – umm… intense? Get ready for a sizzling version featuring six hunky cowboys.
The video was filmed in Maui, Hawaii with beautiful greenery in the background. It appears to be a little warm there, but it was about to get even hotter.
Each man has on jeans, a bolo tie, and a red hat. Fortunately, a shirt wasn’t included in the costume (which surely made a lot of people happy).
From the very beginning, the crowd seems really excited about the performance. They chant “Kihei, Kihei!” and then go wild when the men swivel their hips. Yep, it was going to be that kind of a show!
It’s a Git Up Challenge that’s hard to turn your eyes away from.
As a group, the men follow along to the song’s addicting routine, doing the “two-step,” “cowboy boogie,” and “hoedown.” They’re not fully in-sync at all times, but it didn’t seem like anyone was complaining about the performance one bit.
A woman named Allison Lee is responsible for uploading the video to YouTube. In the video’s description she wrote:
“Shiny men with excellent cardio (specializing in Maui bachelorette parties) perform mildly rehearsed version of “the git up” to shrieks of delight and excitement…. reports of individuals watching right now cracking up …#gitupchallenge”
The crowd is full of cheers, laughter, and whistles throughout the act. Likely, there was lots of swooning going on too.
As we know, every Git Up Challenge submission is unique in its own ways. For this one, the guys decided to bring in an extra prop to make it more fun…
A short time in, each man is handed his own stick pony to use for the dance. Much to the audience’s delight, they even start riding them while galloping in a circle.
It’s a playful performance that’s causing a lot of hearts to race. One viewer hilariously pointed out:
“Let’s be honest. These guys could have done I’m a Little Teapot and it would have been hot!!!”
Another woman planned on watching the video on repeat.
“OMG!!! I Love this I could watch all day… In fact I’m so happy I’m going to watch this all day! Thanks for sharing happy hearts!”
