No one likes being in court, but this shows that it’s not always a bad experience.
Usually, being sentenced by a judge is not a fun experience, and it rarely is a laughing matter. Unless you’re in this Judge’s courtroom that is.
This judge brings up this lady’s adorable six-year-old daughter to help do the sentencing, and the video of the hilarious moment has since gone viral.
When this lady went to court for a parking ticket, she never imagined her daughter would be the one sentencing her but that’s exactly what happened.
That’s because the incident was in Providence, Rhode Island in the courtroom of Judge Frank Caprio and he is no normal Judge.
Like many other judges, Judge Caprio is aired on a television show called Caught in Providence. He is known for his funny sentencing practices and often cuts people’s breaks in the most hilarious ways possible.

For this case, a mother is in court with her children for a $100 parking fine that she got for parking on the curb.
When it comes time to sentence, Judge Caprio calls her daughter up to his podium.
“What’s the little girl’s name? You want to come up here and help me out? Come on.”
The little girl is six-year-old Janice, and she’s about to help get her mom off on the parking ticket, but there’s a catch.
When Janice gets up to the podium, Judge Caprio makes some small talk with the young girl before getting to the real business.
He gives her mom a chance to explain why she got the parking ticket and it’s a decent excuse, but not good enough to completely get her off.
That’s when Judge Caprio gives young Janice four options in sentencing her mother—but it’s the last one that had everyone in his courtroom cracking up.
“Now, your mom is charged with parking on the sidewalk and that fine is $100,” he says.
“Now, she hasn’t paid the ticket so we have penalties in addition to the $100,” says Judge Caprio. He goes on to explain: “Here’s the choices now. I’m going to give you the choices by number and then we make a decision. Don’t look at anybody, just you and me okay because we’re going to be fair.”
The little girl is ready to make a verdict, so Judge Caprio gives her the four choices and initially, she’s out to make her mom pay which has everyone laughing out loud.
The first choice is to charge her mom all the penalties, which would amount to a total of $300.
The second choice is to wave the penalties, charging Janice’s mom just the initial $100 fee. The third choice is to cut the original fine in half, costing her mother $50, and the fourth choice is to dismiss the ticket costing her mom nothing.
After listing the four choices Judge Caprio asked Janice which one she would charge her, and the little girl cracks the courtroom up with her answer.
“Um, I’m gonna charge her number 3,” Janice says to the courtroom.
Rather than charging her mom nothing, Janice wants to charge her mom $50—but there’s yet one more option and it’s breakfast.
After Janice opts to charge her mom $50, but Judge Caprio gives her one last option that she decides to take. The comical Judge notice’s that they’ve been there since 8 AM and asks if they’ve had breakfast. When Janice tells him that they have not had breakfast yet he says:
“Well suppose I make a deal with your mom, okay, and if she buys you breakfast when you leave I’ll dismiss it, is that a good deal?”
Janice actually has to think about it for quite some time but eventually settles on breakfast.
Just like that, her mom is sentenced to breakfast for the parking ticket.
