Kids are quite admirable for their innocence. No matter how awful the world around them seems, they still remain sweet and adorable.
Jimmy Kimmel Live has always been a fan of kids.
Its team has shown kids’ innocence over controversial and fun topics in a really creative and funny way. Just take its Halloween candy prank as an example. It involves parents telling their kids that they ate their Halloween candy. Some of the children took it lightly while others threw serious tantrums.
The team chose a very intriguing topic this time: What is a Karen?
The segment was filmed during the time RuPaul was invited to be a guest host of the show. There, several kids were asked what “Karen” meant to them.
The kids’ responses were hilarious.
The first one clearly understood the assignment. When asked what a Karen was, she said:
“It’s a person who’s really selfish and only cares about themselves and they want everything to be for them.”
There were also kids who seemed to be clueless about the name.
When asked what’s another word for a “Karen”, a boy responded “Cow”. Another one answered “a crazy person”.
Well, they aren’t totally clueless. They’re probably just too polite to say anything bad about Karens these days.
Things got more interesting when the kids were asked if they’ve met a real Karen.
An adorable little girl shared:
“My dad’s seen one but I’ve never seen one in my life. I think it was at a Walmart.”
Another boy said:
“Well, my grandparents are kind of Karens.”
Some said that their teachers are Karens too. They didn’t go into details but if they say that they’re Karens, they probably are.
Then, the interviewer asked a very intriguing question.
“What do you think Karens like to eat?”
One kid had an interesting answer. For him, Karens mostly eat ramen. Well, it’s hard to argue with that since it’s difficult to tell what their diet really is.
And the best part?
The kids were asked to do their best to imitate a Karen.
They did an excellent job. Some pretended to demand talking to the manager while others imitated Karens who don’t like noises.
The segment earned lots of comments.
Most of them praised how well the kids responded. Others were just amazed at how the kids view Karens.
There was this YouTube user who said:
“The little one that said ” they’re probably are gonna stay like that” is ready! He has the knowledge!😂 Super smart kid!❤️”
Another one commented:
“Even the kids understand this behavior is unacceptable.”
There was also this person who commented:
“That was hilarious!! I had no idea the little kids were so hip to Karen. They’re so adorable!”
Kids are honest beings.
Even though they’re innocent about most things, they can still see when a behavior is unacceptable. And in their eyes, being a Karen means being bad.
