Watching your kids grow up is a fun and exciting process for any parent, and it’s especially cute when you see little ones trying to imitate adults and pretend to be a little more grown-up than they really are!
Sometimes, our kids can surprise us with these little ‘mature moments’, like this super cute boy, who was asked if he knew the way to a local landmark and suddenly turned into a tour guide, spending a whole minute giving his dad some very detailed directions.
Fortunately, the funny scene was captured on camera and shared with us all.
Say hi to Jake Boone, a 100% bona fide country boy, born and raised in the great state of Kentucky.
After witnessing his cute behavior and unpredictable antics for themselves, Jake’s parents set him up with a YouTube channel: Life According to Jake Boone.
The channel has been a smash success, helping Jake amass tens of thousands of followers and millions of views.
It’s a charming channel, filled with little clips from Jake’s life, showing him working on the farm, going fishing, playing with his latest toys, helping his grandma in the garden, and much more besides.
Lots of people around the world have fallen for Jake, touched by his unique view on the world and his utterly precious accent, and this video, showing him giving directions, is just another example of how cute he can be.
The clip begins with Jake sitting at the breakfast table in front of a plate of eggs and bacon, talking about somewhere he visited last week.
“Bear Creek? You know how to get there?” asks Jake’s dad, and the little one responds by describing the whole journey.
It start offs simply enough, with Jake saying “You turn on the left and go right straight to Bear Creek”, but then gets a little more complicated as he starts talking about “Six Mile Road” and “Bear Creek Road” and then getting a little lost in his thoughts as he starts talking about “this mile and that mile”.
At one point, our lil rural tour guide almost knocks over his glass of juice, but luckily manages to keep it upright and carries straight on with his directions.
Anyone looking for Bear Creek might be better off buying a map, but it’s still super cute to hear Jake trying to explain the route in such detail.
It seems like he’s heard his parents giving directions in the past and is trying to imitate them, doing his very best job and getting a bunch of hand gestures involved as well.
So if you ever get lost in rural Kentucky and need a little helping hand, all you need to do is give Jake a call!
He’s utterly adorable, and his accent just makes us want to listen to him all day long.
