Do you remember the household chores that you had to do as a child? Were you assigned dishes? Sweeping? Laundry? All of the above? Sonia Doiron tasked her young daughter, Alexis, with shoveling the snow. Alexis had never tried to shovel snow before but she was still going to try… or not.
Sonia had no idea how much she was going to relate to Alexis’ struggle.
The first struggle was trying to complete any chore while bundled up in snow gear.
Alexis’ snow outfit is adorable. She has on a beanie, pink kitten gloves, snow jumpsuit and snow boots. Sonia has made sure her daughter will stay nice and warm during her snow shoveling chore. She even gave Alexis a smaller shovel that was perfect for her size. All there was left to do was oversee Alexis “shoveling” the snow out of the walkway, an already shoveled walkway.
Alexis pushes the shovel into the snow only once before the shovel drops out of her hands. Alexis turns to her mom and sadly states,
“I can’t do this.”
Alexis has her adorable pouting face perfectly set to convince her mother she really cannot do anymore.
Alexis pushes out her bottom lip into an over exaggerated frown. She also moves her arms in a defeated gesture.
Sonia automatically lets out a laugh to her daughter’s antics. There are some moments that parents cannot help but laugh at it and this was one of them. Sonia laughingly tells her daughter,
“It’s how we feel too.”
Everyone can relate to you Alexis, everyone.
Alexis is unsure by her mother’s laughter if she is going to be forced to try again. So, before her mom can say anything else Alexis repeats that she cannot do it. This time she makes sure to make her point. Alexis goes and sits in the snow instead of shoveling it up.
She even starts to punch the snow down, she really is starting to hate the snow.
Sonia asks her daughter how long she has been doing it but Alexis does not even look up from her spot in the snow. Her mother lets her know that she had only been working at her chore for two minutes before she gave up. This does not phase Alexis at all. There is no way she is going to get up and keep shoveling.
They were the worst two minutes of her entire life so far and she is missing the sunshine.

Sonia posted the adorable video of her daughter with her own commentary. Sonia had been off work over the holidays and she understood how her daughter was feeling. Sonia wrote,
“How I feel about returning to work tomorrow ππ #snowishere #cantdodis #breaksover #breaksoverbacktowork”
Sonia was not the only person to relate to Alexis. Some commented,
“Sheβs too stinking adorable. I had that same energy getting ready for work this am, baby girl.”
“Hahahaha that was literally me 30 mins ago when I finished shoveling, I feel her pain, i felt done after 2 minutes too ππ”
