“How many children are you planning to have?”
This is one question most newlyweds often get, and it’s normal because people would assume you want to start a family after getting married.
But this is a difficult question to answer, and most couples have to discuss this amongst themselves, and there is a lot to consider.
But one thing parents can never decide on is the gender of their kids.
A parent can only wish (or guess) if it’s a boy or a girl.
There is no way a couple can and will have the gender combination of kids they want.
Some would be happy to have one of each (boy and girl) and wouldn’t stop until they achieved that.
This couple in Scotland didn’t know what to expect when they decided to have a family.
Alexis and David Brett didn’t plan on having a big family. But the kids kept coming, and they never thought they would have so many.
They thought of having a girl at some point, yet it seemed to elude them.
Alexis gave birth to one child after the other and had ten boys in a row.
According to the Mirror, she was the first mom in Britain to do so!
She said in an interview with This Morning that after the third or fourth child, she resigned to having an all-male household.
But the couple received a pleasant surprise in 2019.
She, David, and the rest of the boys welcomed her 11th baby and her first baby girl.

They were over the moon when they found out. It was a shock to the couple since they thought Rothagaidh (2) would be their last child, but the arrival of baby Cameron completed their family.
The entrance of their baby girl changed her brothers so much.
You could imagine all ten getting rowdy, but they mellowed down since Cameron came into their lives.

“They’ve generally been much better behaved around her, trying to keep quiet in case they wake her up. They also want to help with holding and feeding her – it’s been great,” David told Mirror.
To date, the couple has 13 children.
They have 11 boys – Campbell, Harrison, Corey, Lachlan, Brodie, Brahn, Hunter, Mack, Blake, and Rothagaidh.
Aside from Cameron, Alexis gave birth to little Scarlett last August.
And while the couple kept saying it’d be their last child after their 10th, they discovered that Alexis was immune to contraceptives and considered getting sterilized instead.
Alexis said they receive mixed comments or reactions from people about their family.

Some people would think that it’s incredible to have all those kids, while others frown upon the lack of family planning from the couple.
Worse, some would think they are after child support. However, Alexis said she is happy having a big family, although she recognized they probably have enough.
Running the household is also hectic for the family, but she’s glad her kids could help.
David often does the cooking and grocery shopping, while Alexis does the cleaning and laundry.
As her kids grew older, they also had their fair share of chores.
