Wrangling two children and getting them from point A to point B is trying in itself.

Throw a temper tantrum on top of that, and you might see mom or dad having a meltdown in addition to the kids having their fit.

But Devon Linden tried to keep as cool as she could when her kids were giving her a hard time while leaving swimming practice in Rogers, Arkansas.

Linden takes her two children to swimming practice every week, but they decided to throw a little tantrum this time around.

This left Linden feeling humiliated and struggling to keep it together while getting her kids back into the car.

“I was really honestly near tears just as a mom, trying to keep it together and get my kids out of there,” Linden told 5NEWS.

Just as she was about to shed some tears, a stranger came out of nowhere.

That stranger handed her a note, gave her a smile, and said that she’s “got this.”

Some might have rolled their eyes at her or muttered nasty comments about her misbehaving children under their breath. But not this woman.

“In a moment where she saw me struggling, she didn’t pass judgement on me, my kids, my parenting, anything that was happening. She just chose to bless me,” Linden said.

When Linden got back to her car, she realized that she wasn’t only blessed with kind words and encouragement.

She had also been blessed with a $100 bill that was inside the note.

“Your life and purpose is huge!! Life is so precious. Every day is a gift, so make it count. Enjoy!!” the note read.

The heartwarming gesture made Linden break down in tears.

“I’m trying to think of what this new decade is going to bring for me, what type of person I can strive to be, and I just thought, I want to be like this lady. I want to be impactful in the best way,” Linden said.

Liden says that the woman also set a good example for her son.

“Something that I want to show my children too is how to give others grace when they’re having a hard time and pass that on,” Linden said.

Linden said she hopes to pay it forward and share acts of kindness with others in Northwest Arkansas.

According to US Represented, “Paying it forward inspires generosity and compassion. All too often, we think too much about our own needs without considering how our behavior affects others. What we say and do matters. Ultimately, the person paying it forward grows as much as the person receiving the act of kindness.”

Linden said she also hopes that this message would get back to the woman who helped her.

“Really just thank you for seeing me in a hard time and really just giving me exactly what I needed in that moment to feel like I can spend my day being a good mom and person,” Linden said to NEWS5.
