There comes in a time in every parent’s life when their kid starts asking for a dog. A parent then has to decide how to respond to this request. Are they ready to bring a dog into their home?

Luckily for two little girls named MacKenna and Kerrington, the answer was yes. But then came the next question: what dog would they adopt?

The girls’ mom, Toni, happened to be looking at dogs online with her girls when they came across Rosie.

While looking at dogs online, MacKenna saw the ad for Rosie.

Rosie happened to be at a kill shelter in Georgia, and the ad said if she were not adopted, she would be euthanized. MacKenna started crying at that.

Another day, Toni went on the page again, and it said Rosie was no longer available. The two little girls didn’t know what had happened.

Little did the little girls know, Rosie was on a transport to them.

The parents decided they wanted to surprise their daughters, and Rosie was on the way to becoming a part of the family.

When Rosie arrived, she was obviously stressed since the poor pup had lost her family and wasn’t sure where her home was. Luckily, she was about to go to her forever home.

Toni recalls, “As I was rounding the corner to meet the girls, I had goosebumps all over my body, I just couldn’t hold it in any longer.”

When MacKenna and Kerrington saw their mom walking to them with Rosie, they couldn’t contain their shock and excitement, making sure it was Rosie with Toni.

The day the family got Rosie, she was supposed to be euthanized, and MacKenna started tearing up out of happiness. Watching the video, it’s hard not to tear up with the little girl.

The family definitely made a difference in Rosie’s life, but Rosie has also had a big impact on their lives.

When Rosie joined the family, she also gained a furry sibling named Ziggy. The first day Rosie came home, Ziggy was very confused and wondered who this stranger was in her home.

However, it didn’t take long for Rosie and Ziggy to become the best of friends.

Toni states the obvious, “She wins everybody over.”

Some shelter dogs have a hard time adjusting, considering they have been through many trauma in their short lives.

However, Rosie was good with the young girls since day one, like it was meant to be. The girls say,

“She’s just the sweetest thing and she’s just an amazing dog.”

“The best part about having Rosie is… Everything!”

Rosie fits into this family perfectly, and it’s wonderful to see them all enjoying their time together. The video of Rosie and the girls went viral, and many people wanted to keep up with the pup. And so, Toni created an Instagram account for her to document their day-to-day life. It’s clear they all love each other so much.
