Every parent knows that if you turn your back on your toddler for just one minute, all hell could break loose.

But sometimes it happens.

Especially if you’re juggling more than one child. And while parents do seem super human they aren’t, they are human.

Erica Dilley from Frisco, Texas has the fright of her life when she looked away from her 3-year-old Alexandra for a few seconds.

And that fright was caught on video and is now serving as a reminder to parents to keep vigilant.

Erica had her hands full. She had her 3-year-old, her dog, and younger daughter in tow.

The video shows Erica picking up Alexandria and letting her press the keys to open the garage door.

She sets Alexandra down then walks over to her youngest daughter who is sitting in a stroller which is being guarded by the dog.

Erica has no idea what is going on while picks her bay up out of the stroller.

Alexandria had grabbed hold of the garage door and let it lift her up as it rolled back.

She held on tight and ended up dangling 7-ft in the air.

Less than 10 seconds had passed… 10 seconds.

Thankfully, Erica looked up and was able to grab Alexandra in time and the child was uninjured.

Erica said that Alexandra wasn’t sure if she was on the ride of her life or if she was in danger.

“It was more like a whimper, kind of like, ‘Should I laugh or be scared?’ and ‘Can someone get me down?’” she said.

Erica says she was more terrified than her young daughter was.

“It was one of those heart-in-your-throat moments, it could have ended very differently,” Dilley later told Inside Edition. “I just grabbed her and went inside and called my husband and said, ‘You won’t believe what just happened.'”

“We learned Alexandra loves heights and Mama can’t turn her back,” Erica wrote on Facebook.

Apparently, it was all too relatable to parents on social media.

“Omg and your instant mommy reaction!!!! This is amazing,” said one parent.

“Every time I watch this I die laughing!!!!!!!” said one social media user.

I can totally see my 3-year-old doing this!!!!” said another.

But Erica is taking it as a lesson learned and is hoping that other parents do the same. Watch the video below.
