This father will remember and cherish this moment for his entire life.
His newborn son, Isaac, is understandably getting accustomed to the real world hence his little crying even though he’s got nurses around to help him.
But it’s dad who soothes him.
Now there have been debates on whether or not a baby in the womb can recognize sounds, most especially voices.
But have you ever spoken to one in mom’s womb?
Notice how they suddenly start moving or kicking?
This is why moms constantly talk to their little ones inside.
They even play music to help boost the baby’s development.
So it only follows that dad also speaks to his child in the womb.
Check out what Healthline has to say about the topic,
“Around week 25 or 26, babies in the womb have been shown to respond to voices and noise. Recordings taken in the uterus reveal that noises from outside of the womb are muted by about half. That’s because there’s no open air in the uterus. Your baby is surrounded by amniotic fluid and wrapped in the layers of your body. That means all noises from outside your body will be muffled.”
They go on to say that,
“The most significant sound your baby hears in the womb is your voice. In the third trimester, your baby can already recognize it. They will respond with an increased heart rate that suggests they are more alert when you’re speaking.”
Little Isaac is pretty upset about something but as soon as dad carries him and starts talking to his newborn son, Isaac calms down in his dad’s arms.
So it won’t be too far fetched to say that this baby knows his dad’s voice!
Though viewers are arguing it’s because he was held, so the warmth of dad’s body coupled with the swaying motion soothed the baby.
Let dad have his moment though!
Others thought otherwise,
“I think my son recognized my voice minutes after birth too because when the nurse held him for a few seconds for me to have a look and I was cooing and talking to him, he stopped all crying and was doing nothing but blinking and seemed to be straining to see me. It was very awesome.”
Says RedMapleLeaf, while another viewer commented,
“Whatever the baby knew or didn’t know, the daddy is so pleased with his new son, that it brought tears to my eyes.”
All dad cares about is letting his son hear his voice and recognize his touch.
Just like any new parent would.
He is one happy father. Whether men will admit it or not, they will always want to have a son.
Especially for their firstborn. There’s just something about a boy to carry on the family name.
Plus an eldest son can act as mom’s future guardian.
Isaac’s got dad to mentor him and teach all the joys of being a man.
