Pregnancy news is always a great news. Welcoming a new member of the family can be very exciting. We can’t say it’s the same for parents because they can feel a lot of anxiety as well. But in general, waiting for a baby is something worth celebrating.
However, there are times these pregnancies don’t last. Some could result in miscarriage, especially during the pregnancy’s first trimester.
According to studies, around 10% of clinically recognized pregnancies end up in miscarriage. There could be a lot of causes behind it, like problems with chromosomes, problems with the uterus or cervix, and infections.

The couple has two children, Jackson Kyle and Lilah Ray. They were expecting baby #3 when they got the devastating news. In March last year, Tori posted on her Instagram page that they went for an ultrasound when she was eight weeks pregnant, only to find out that they had lost their baby two weeks before.
A Mother’s Grief
“I’ve honestly never felt loss like I did in that moment. I’ve never felt so sad, angry, and scared in a single moment,” she wrote in that same post.

She also said that she shared her story to reach out to even just a single mother who lost their child to know that they were not alone. You could feel how devastated she felt as she gave all her heart out on that post.
In God’s Perfect Time
Carrying all that grief must have been difficult for both Zach and Tori. It’s not easy to lose a baby, especially an unborn child you so excitedly expected. However, it seemed like God had planned something else for them.

They were expecting again! They shared the exciting news eight months after their heartbreaking post that same year. The couple were over-the-moon happy with this and called it a “sweet gift.”
“Welcome to the World, Sweet Josiah Luke.”
Zach, Tori, and the rest of the family welcomed baby Josiah Luke last April 30. Tori shared that she gave birth to a healthy baby boy who weighed 7 lbs. 6 oz. and measured 19.5 inches long. Baby Josiah came earlier than they thought, but Tori said that “the wait felt like a lifetime.”

And while people expected that Josiah’s birth took away all the pain during her miscarriage, she said it didn’t really go away. She once said that she hadn’t fully recovered from that and didn’t know if she ever will.

Nonetheless, Josiah’s birth strengthened their faith and that they just have to trust God’s plan for them and said that she “wasn’t forgotten.” She also took the time to tell other mothers who suffered a miscarriage (or had experienced worse than her) that she prays that they would also not be forgotten.
