After putting her daughter down for a nap, a mother named Kristin Leigh realized that her dog, Raven, was missing.
Kristin had adopted Raven from a rescue shelter a decade ago.
Now, instead of enjoying a moment of peace, she found herself searching for her beloved pet.
She looked around the house, even venturing outside, but Raven was nowhere to be found.
Little did she know, Raven was in the most adorable place possible.
As it turned out, Raven had decided he needed a nap too.
Kristin found him in her daughter Addison’s room, but not on the floor as one might expect.
Instead, Raven was snuggled up in bed with the toddler, both of them peacefully asleep.
The sight was so heartwarming that Kristin couldn’t resist capturing the moment.
She quietly entered the room, filming the adorable duo.
Raven, after hearing his mom, lifted his head momentarily.
But instead of jumping off the bed, he simply laid his head back down, ready to continue his nap.
Raven’s reaction was priceless.
Even with Kristin in the room, he chose to stay in bed, nestled next to his best buddy.
He had a pillow, a blanket, and his favorite human by his side.
It even seemed like little Addison might have tucked him in!
Many kids have a security item that helps them sleep, and for Addison, it was a stuffed lamb.
But given how cozy Raven looked, it seemed like Lamby might have to start sharing space with the dog more often.
Kristin continued to film the heartwarming scene, petting Raven and whispering, “Good boy, Ray Ray.”
Raven seemed perfectly content, happy to continue his nap with Addison.
This adorable moment was too good not to share, so Kristin decided to post the video online.
Unsurprisingly, the video went viral.
In the description, Kristin wrote, “That moment you can’t find your dog and you even go outside looking for him…only to walk in the house and find him snuggled up in bed next to your toddler.”
She also shared her thoughts about Raven, her beautiful rescue dog.
Kristin wrote, “People that say ‘money can’t buy happiness’ have never paid an adoption fee. 10 years ago I left a rescue with this little guy and I often wonder…who rescued who?
I gave him a home, but he gave me so, so much more.”
She added, “Dogs have a way of finding the people that need them…filling an emptiness we didn’t even know we had…”
