Ever gotten sacked? We hope not. It’s not a pleasant experience. How about a little fun in the sack? Never mind. But even as kids, everyone has had an experience with a sack. After all, it’s about the right size for a normal kid to have some fun in.

The sack race is a classic and a staple at festivals and parties.

People have found creative uses for the sack. They are so versatile and tough, able to carry rice, coffee beans, sand, flour, and so on but once emptied of its contents, there is so much to be done with it. All it takes is a little creativity.

Leave it up to high school kids to come up with a different use for them. This is Beyer High’s dance production.

It is such a creative and hilarious way of utilizing sacks it left the crowd in tears.

They named their performance the “Bag dance”. Of course. All of them, yes, all, perform inside colorful fabric bags that are rubber-like in their flexibility which allowed them to move at will. Whoever thought of this must have had quite a night.

It’s a spooky start. They look like some secret occult society wearing cloaks and hoods in the dark. Very “Eyes Wide Shut“.

Then again they seem to be a society all their own with this routine.

Turns out the black silhouettes aren’t creepy mask wearing elites but colorfully wrapped kids with so much energy! It’s a wonder to see them stretch and dance to the music. It’s like a canvas of colors being swirled and splashed about. It is as abstract as it is creative and the energy bursts forth from the nearly pitch black stage.

These kids combined their vision and creativity so their talents could be put on display.

Great taste in music too! They used classics that were sure to please the crowd. High energy songs of the past decades that have delighted so many people. It’s an odd way of dancing and a very bizarre take at the songs used but the audience sure loved it!

Even online viewers were amused and entertained.

“I was having a horrible day. Well this completely made me feel better:) thank you!! And this is majorly creative! Fabulous job :D”

These have to be the most unique costumes ever thought up by a group.

They maximize the effect of the colorful bags. They line up, alternating the colors, then jump and spin and lie down while kicking their legs and flailing their arms. They seem to be more like shapes moving than actual bodies. The effect is really cool.

The choreographer deserves so much credit for this.

They use all the available space as well. They fan out and form lines and circles all the while making sure the colors stand out. It’s like shaking open a box of cereal or candy and watching them all create different shapes on the bowl. It’s funny but dynamic and mesmerizing to watch all at once.

What’s also incredible is they never once crashed in to each other. So yes, they can see each other. Who doesn’t want to get sacked now?
