Whether bad time or nap time, getting your kid to sleep can be a tricky affair. Getting enough sleep is very important, both for you and your kids. Lack of sleep can affect your kids’ concentration, cause learning difficulties and even hamper physical development. Failing to create a consistent bedtime routine spells trouble for parents as well, as it tends to stress them out and disrupt their daily routine.

It’s to set a bedtime routine for your kid!

Sounds easy enough when we say it, but we understand that setting a bedtime routine may be a difficult process. First things first, you ought to keep your kid busy and active before bedtime or naptime. It can include light playtime, bath, or other routine activity such as brushing teeth.

That way, you spend quality time with your kid, get them to burn off their energy, and set a clear daily routine!

Naptime!

The younger the kid, the more sleep it will need. Babies usually need from 14 to 19 hours of sleep while toddlers up to the age of 6 need about 12 hours of sleep, including naps. It’s not set in stone, however, your kid may well need more or less sleep to feel properly rested. Naps are necessary for most toddlers as they provide valuable daytime sleep and help toddlers recharge their batteries to resume their daily routine.

Most playtime activities include ordinary games and activities that can be played anywhere at home. This dad, however, found a more creative game to play with his toddler! How about a wrestling match?
