There really isn’t anything cuter than a toddler — except, of course, a toddler dancing. Or…trying to dance anyway.
In a video that was uploaded to YouTube back in 2009, a little girl named Sara is the star of the show, in quite the infamously hilarious way. Since the video was posted online, it’s made over 1.6 million people smile. So, if you’re in the need of a pick-me-up or mood booster – you came to the right place.
The video, titled ‘Sara’s Dance Recital,’ starts with a group of little girls walking out onto a stage wearing adorably matching red and white satin dresses. All of them are also wearing tap shoes! However, just a couple of seconds into the dance recital, Sara decides that she’s just not really into it.
As the sweet little dancers line up to start performing their tap dance routine, Sara just plops right on the floor.
A few of her fellow dancers seem to be a little concerned at first, not really knowing what they should do about their friend who has decided to lay face down on the ground! But soon, they decided that the show must go on – so, they just begin to simply tap dance right around Sara as she lay there!
Sara kicks her feet, throwing a bit of a tantrum as the dance recital continues around her. The little girl dancing next to Sara looks confused, not sure how to handle the toddler who is throwing off the choreography.
Sara decides to finally at least sit up as the precious girls simply continue to dance around her, trying their best to pretend that nothing is happening.
Around one minute into the dance recital, Sara has officially decided that she’s had enough. And with that, she stands up and just struts right off the stage! Hilariously, the young dance troupe continues on without a beat.
Someone backstage must have encouraged Sara to go back out onto the stage and finish out the performance because it isn’t long before she’s begrudgingly lined back up with the group.
It’s hilarious enough to watch such young little girls try and perform choreography but Sara’s antics really add to the recital.
Halfway crying, halfway trying to pull it together, Sara tries her darndest to tap her way across the stage but you can just tell by the look on her face that she’d rather be anywhere else than there right now.
She’s definitely not happy about it, but the show must go on. It’s hard not to laugh when you watch her unhappily stomp her way around the stage with the most upset look on her face.
The girls exit the stage and come back a few moments for the next act – they’ve had an adorable costume change as well. As for Sara? Still not happy.
The video and recital continue with Sara doing the routine as best as she can while still being a clearly terrible mood. We’re guessing she maybe didn’t get her nap today by her silly antics. Eventually, the performance comes to an end and Sara can finally get out of her tutu and into her pajamas.
